I like to start off on a positive note first. The Allora's special pizza was delicious, & baked perfectly. The cheese bread was perfect too. What threw us off was the Alfredo pizza which has alfredo sauce instead of red sauce. It also comes with Mozz which I would have expected to have the sauce inder the cheese but we were surprised by not only was the alfredo on top of the cheese but there was a ton of it. It drowned the pizza & we couldn't even tell there was mozz on it at all. We really just wanted a white pizza, alfredo sauce instead of pizza sauce & cheese on top just like a regular pizza. When I called and asked about that the guy saud that's how the alfredo pizza comes.. well I didn't know that & if I did I certainly would have asked to have it the way I normally expect it. There was just so much of it on top... almost comical really but unfortunately nobody wanted to deal with the mess so I let them eat the Allora's special & I ate the alfredo one. I love alfredo, & I love sauce.. I am never one to usually complain about too much sauce but maybe they should ask if folks want it on top or under the mozz. And obviously half the amount of sauce would have sufficed. One more note, the calamari didn't have much flavor & was quite dry. Maybe it's baked? A little spice and maybe a spray of EVOO would have made a huge difference. Their pizza sauce & marinara Iis very good though... I will definitely go for an Allora's special pizza...
Read moreDecent Italian restaurant in the area. They have takeout too. The inside decorum has an old Italian restaurant feel. We started with fried calamari for appetizers and order some pasta dishes for our main meal. I been to many Italian restaurants and almost every time order a fried calamari of some type for appetizers. As long as it’s not soggy or cold I’m good. That said I would say the calamari here was decent and well made. Next thing i look at us the garlic rolls. They were excellent although maybe could have used more garlic but it was very tasty. The final thing would be the salads and/or soups. They make their own Italian dressing that comes in the side with your salad. Our pasta dishes last were ok they were very salty in the sauces. Overall it’s a decent Italian place in the area. Next time I will probably...
Read moreVery friendly from the moment we entered. Decent house wine. Best of all they are willing to alter the menu. Some places won't do this for you. I asked for items from 3 different dishes to be combined into one meal and they accomodated. I have several dietary concerns and gluten is one of them. They have gluten free pizza crust. They also have a great salad selection. Again, I asked for the salmon from one salad to be placed on the greens and veggies from another and the salad dressing from a third salad (cause I am that customer). I do try to tip according to the difficulty of my order vs how correct they get it. They have so far gotten it right. I cannot review the deserts as the meals are that filling that we almost always...
