Can't believe I've lived in the area since 2013 and I'm now checking out this yumminess. They gave us an order of nachos with salsa as soon as we sat down and glasses of water. I ordered the 'Masa de Puerco' dinner it came with raw marinated onions with the fried pork chunks. The onions had a hint of lime. The pork chunks were big pieces and you didn't even need knife to cut the meat. It was like butter to cut with fork. Instead of the sweet plantains I ordered the 'Tostones' (fried green plantains) The white rice was perfect. The black beans were perfectly seasoned. I asked for garlic oil to dip the 'Tostones' in. They didn't have any but they did have garlic melted butter. Yum! My hubby had the beef tacos and steak tacos. He loved them. They have a gazillion flavors of Margaritas. I ordered the house. It's different from all other margaritas I've had in other restaurants. It was very good. We had a really sweet waitress and another would come by to fill up our water glasses and my husband's sprite. Another lady came out to deliver our food. Everyone was really nice. The place is clean, nicely decorated, and there is plenty of parking. We will definitely be visiting again. We went on a Tuesday 11:30 am and by the time we left the place was almost half full.

We had hopeful ideas about La Bamba but never once came here in over two years of living in the neighborhood—until today, when those ideas were made reality… and we deeply regret it. We looked online for “Taco Tuesday” and “Happy Hour,” only to find that their online menu and actual menu are completely opposite. As you can see on the receipts, we paid $10 and $6 for two beers, which totaled $17.12. Even off Happy Hour, the menu inside lists Domestic Draft at $4.50 and Imported Draft at $6—so why were we charged more? For Taco Tuesday, their website claims $2 off à la carte tacos, but the only option given to us was a $14 meal for three tacos that, upon glance, looked terrible and was absolutely not worth a $10 beer. And despite their website stating they have Happy Hour, they told us it only runs Wednesday-Sunday, which directly contradicts what they advertise online. We don’t mind paying for quality food, but subpar food and false advertising are unacceptable in our neighborhood. La Bamba will not receive our business—or a positive review. The outside looks like a cheap, dirty, dark, money-grabbing tourist Hunger Games, and unfortunately, that’s exactly what it is. Not worth even walking inside.

Finally! After living in S. Florida for 9 years, we finally found 1 legit Mexican Place. Our family is from TX originally and after, we had a long stent in TN which interestingly also has a large population of folks from Mexico. Finding legit Mexican in either of those states is easy. S. Florida, not so much. Let me say LaBamba is amazing. For 9 years we've tried so many places down here and all just were not it. LaBamba is it! The salsa is legit (ask for spicy for what would be normal in TX). My tacos were on point with my hardshells hand rolled and fried in house (no Sysco stuff here). My wife and one daughter had the fajitas which were likewise stellar. The other 2 kids had chicken quesadillas. If you're in South Florida and want real Mexican, this is the ONLY real choice. We went to the North Palm Beach location, but I was happy to learn that there are 7 all over South Florida in Palm Beach and Broward Counties. We were so happy to finally have real Mexican Food at home. A++

I ordered the chunks of pork with onions on the top. I could barely cut into it with a steak knife. I took a bite and they were so dry I nearly chocked on it. It took me about 10 minutes until was finally able to swallow. Needing to eat I doctored them up by cutting off the EXTREMELY DRY AND TOUGH outside of the with a butcher’s knife then attempted to shread the meat and I couldn’t even do that. Used my Cuisinart and pulsed the meat leaving small chunks, poured canned diced tomatoes, roasted red peppers, garlic, garlic oil, chili powder and chili pepper sauce chili pepper sauce. So I simmered it for a bit and served it over the rice. This was supposed to be takeout so I didn’t have to cook. It didn’t end up that way. We’ve been coming there for years and notice the decline more and more each time. Very sad! You had the best food with generous portions. This was 4/4/24 Kathleen

Wow, The food, the atmosphere, the service was impeccable. The only thing i dislike is that they are 3 hours from my home. This place is legit, and they give a masterclass on quality food and service, Very impressed with the management, and servers, and kitchen!!
