This restaurant was recommended by an acquaintance and based on several reviews regarding long wait times for meal prep, I tried to call in my order for pick-up. The 1st call, a young lady answered and only spoke Spanish, so she laughed and hung up on me because I spoke to her in English. I waited, called back and asked (in Spanish) to speak to a manager & the same young lady put the phone down & told someone “she’s calling back” and then she hung up the phone. A Spanish speaking friend and I drove there to order in person (it was 11:30am on a weekday). The two young ladies at the counter seemed annoyed to have customers and after ignoring us and walking back & forth behind the counter, finally asked for our take-out order. My friend deliberately remained quiet as I ordered. The server repeated back my order to me in broken English, with a bit of help from her coworker. The loud music that was playing, did not help the situation because I was asked to speak louder, instead of them turning down the volume. My order of tacos took 35 minutes to prepare (there were no other customers in the restaurant) as we sat and waited and listened to that same server loudly chopping veggies with a cleaver (also seen/heard in my posted video) as the loud music continued to play. I asked for a pre-packed slice of cold tres leche cake as the “cleaver slinging” server was packing my order and she let out an annoyed sigh and threw it in the bag with the warm tacos. When I unpacked my order at home, I was disappointed at the serving portion size, considering the high price and I was underwhelmed by the lack of spice and bland flavor, although the trés leché cake (baked by an off-premise bakery) was good. I definitely will not ever...
Read moreReally disappointed in the quality of food. I’ve waited 4 orders to post a review. It’s honestly a hit or miss. 1 time in person was delicious. 3 times ordering for delivery was not great. I’ve ordered the lengua tacos- way too much fatty chunks in the tacos. I know what I’m ordering, and although this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, lengua can be quite delicious and lean. Panchos unfortunately hasn’t gotten this right. Even the lean bits have no flavor at all. The “ceviche mixto” is nothing more than the frozen mix seafood bag you get at SUPERFRESH in middlesex. Literally the exact mix I purchase myself for quick meal at home so this is FAR from authentic. Needless to say, I won’t be ordering...
Read moreOn my first visit to this restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they serve some of the finest Mexican food I’ve ever tasted - and I’ve been to quite a few places. The decor was charming, complete with a Pancho Villa statue, adding to the authentic feel. The restaurant was clean and offered a wide variety of dishes and drinks. While they don’t serve alcohol, it’s a BYOB establishment. The only downsides were the difficulty in finding street parking - I’m not sure if they offer free parking, it’s worth asking - and the service was a bit slow despite it not being busy. Overall, the excellent food and ambiance more than made up for these...
