Puffy Puffs — Restaurant in North Providence

My friend and I were looking for an indulgent dessert and we certainly came to the right spot for that- Puffy Puffs was worth the trip because of their over the top puffs but also the amazingly kind/friendly owner. It seems simple enough- friend dough balls with toppings. However, the owner was quick to point out that the puffs are made fresh every 30-40 minutes, right in front of you, and that their toppings are made with higher end ingredients/products. After taking the time to fully explain the menu and answer our questions, I settled on strawberry and chocolate puffy puffs which were quite good. They were crisp on the exterior and soft, almost melt in your mouth, on the inside. The toppings were tasty, but the presentation was a bit lackluster- looking like strawberry jelly spooned out of a jar and chocolate sauce squeezed from a bottle that was difficult to use. The owner treated us to some bottled water, and my friend and I were able to sit and chat while we enjoyed this treat. It was a bit smoky with the cooking oil, but the store became increasingly busy with people willing to wait for their fresh batch of Puffy Puffs. There are also shakes and coffees on their menu, which we did not order but looked just as good. The meal was around $12 for a box of 12, so about $1 for each puff, which is good. We were looking for a place to get ice cream late at night and came across "Puffy Puffs" ...and while we couldn't get ice cream, like we were looking for, we saw that we could get shakes. We also saw what looked like large donut holes with lots of different toppings & that looked delicious... so we thought, we'd give it a try. They were absolutely delicious! I got Dubai chocolate and chocolate biscoff. They were made fresh to order even though it was 11 o'clock at night & although they had a few puffs sitting there, he never considered giving them to us. The puffs were absolutely delicious & the shakes were awesome. He gave us samples while we were waiting & he talked and joked with us. We couldn't have asked for better service or food .... I highly recommend them and will definitely...

these puffs slap so hard. they’re not too sweet on their own so that the toppings you pick are the taste and sweetness level you want. they do half-half for flavors so we got the cinnamon sugar and raspberry half-half. he also sampled us some of his unique sauces like the caramel and kinder bueno. these drizzles were made for him by the chef and can’t be found in any random spot. owner also said crepes are coming soon and that he takes flavor recs. i asked for a creme brûlée puff with custard inside and he said it’s already in the making before autumn hits. milkshakes and hot drinks looked so good too. he really renovated inside and it looks so crisp with that north-african/french flair. they’re so generous and i’ll...
