I decided to stop here because I like to support small businesses. But Cashier/Barista with blonde hair and glasses was very rude and unprofessional, she needs to be retrained or let go because she is a poor representation of the business. I came in 15 minutes before closing and asked if they were still making lattes. Her response was, “Sure.” besides not being greeted nor smiling at me once. She seemed annoyed because she was cleaning and probably just wanted to go home already I guess. When I asked for the flavors she told me to look at the wall. This is my first time and my last time here unfortunately. She spoke to me as if I should’ve already known where the flavors were located. I have never been so poorly treated by a cashier at a coffee shop in my life. I almost debated exiting before placing my order. I asked for cinnamon, she responded, “We don’t have that” with an attitude. Did not apologize nor speak to me with any kind demeanor once. All of a sudden she started randomly reciting dairy options before I even asked so quickly and under her breath I could barely understand her. Almost robotic, as if she was tired of saying it a million times. I was very kind the entire time, I said please and thank you. She quickly rushed my latte as if she was throwing the items around. I asked for just light syrup yet she drenched the cup with too much syrup. I was not satisfied with the outcome of the execution of it, it was way too sweet and poorly made. In the end she handed me the latte and said, straws are behind you, again; very sternly. Very...
Read moreThis little place sits over on Mineral Spring Ave., across from the North Providence Library. Very clean and organized interior w/a few tables for interior dining. I opted to sit outside at one of their two umbrella'd tables. Despite being right on Mineral Spring Ave., it was surprisingly peaceful. I ordered a large iced coffee w/milk, sugar, and a coconut flavor shot. The barista made the drink and had me try it to assure it was to my liking. I asked for more sugar. She put a few scoops of sugar in the raw into a cup and melted it down w/a splash of hot coffee and a stir before pouring it into my cup. Those little things really make a good cup of coffee great. Suffice it to say, I enjoyed the coffee. It comes straight from Puerto Rico too, and they don't brew it with city tap water (another big factor for great coffee). For food, I ordered an avocado sandwich toasted on whole grain bread with egg, hash brown, bacon, and buffalo cheese for spice. Probably the best avocado sandwich I've ever had. Had some time to kill and I was still hungry so I ordered avocado toast caprese on whole grain, and that was equally satisfying. Prices were reasonable as well. Happy I decided to check the place out. If you ever have the misfortune of being stuck on Mineral Spring Ave., you should stop at this place and make your trip...
Read moreI’ve been going to Brew Grindz for about 2 years now, and it’s one of my absolute favorite local coffee shops. The staff are so nice, and the coffee shop is very clean! The food is delicious, the hulk sandwich is my favorite! I’m Portuguese and they make the hulk sandwich on my favorite traditional Portuguese bread ( Papo Seco) which is always fresh! Even though it is known to be a Puerto Rican Coffee shop, I’d say it is a fusion of both! Every month/holiday they have a seasonal beverage menu which is always delicious! In the picture below, I got one of their speciality coffees for the month of March. It is called the liquid luck - chocolate cookie dough coffee with mint cold foam! So yummy 10/10! If nothing on the speciality beverage list appeals to you, no worries because they have quite a few flavors. I’m a big cold foam person & they will make you any flavor of cold foam you want! My only con’s would be the location & the limited seating in the coffee shop. It’s located on mineral spring which is always packed with traffic and it can be tricky sometimes getting in & out of the parking lot. Regardless, the cons are so minuscule and the quality of food & coffee is so worth it! Stop by Brew Grindz and support a...
