My Happy Place Deli — Restaurant in North Redington Beach

Anyone who visits the St Pete/Clearwater area this not a suggestion but a demand to try this spot out. Super local and simply the best grouper sandwich I’ve ever had. When I’m here I’m like a local, 46 years I’ve been blessed to visit St. Pete Beach. Now that I’m older I enjoy good FRESH food, which is a huge struggle when staying on the beach. Everything is fried and even with so many delicious fresh fish options at these eateries doorsteps, it’s still frozen. In my search I found Nachman's Seafood. Here the fish is caught literally that morning and sold. Since following them, a story was posted of a gentleman buying grouper to make sandwiches at his new local “hangout” bar. I told my husband weeks ago, this would be our first meal when we arrived for our next vacation and boy it did not disappoint!! The atmosphere, vibe and conversation were organic. If we really want to help stop all this greed and poor food quality, do some research and find small restaurants who are buying their food fresh and locally, which in turn helps out farmers, butchers and fishermen. This is a cute little deli with a Key West vibe, and I am so glad we walked down from the Ram Seas for lunch. All dining is done outside, and pets are welcome, too! I had a ham & swiss on a croissant, and my husband had a cheeseburger, and both were served hot, and we didn't have to wait long. The guy who was running the deli that day was friendly as we had several questions about the hurricanes that went through last fall and found out that this deli is owned by Sweet Sage, which we love too. Great little happy place to hang out and have a few drinks. Fun atmosphere, friendly service, and fun decor. My friend and I ordered the cheeseburger and chips for lunch. Sadly, the burger was pretty sad, but the beer was cold. I will try something different to eat if I return. NOTE: The manager contacted me because of my review.
