Even the Hut is making mediocre pizza at gourmet prices. We keep switching pizza places in effort to find a good, local pizza. Recently, we've run out of options. Pizza Hut delivered 2 pizzas and one order of cheesy bread. I think all of the cheese for the order ended up on the cheese bread. And...the cheese bread wasn't on nice french bread anymore; it's on white bread. Cheese on mushy bread for $1 a slice. No thanks. The pizzas were terribly mediocre. Toppings were ok if not a bit strangely proportioned as if they were low on green pepper but had an overstock of olives. The sauce wasn't as tasty as it used to be. As I mentioned, where is the cheese? A build-your-own scaled down version of a large deluxe was over $28. 6 toppings total. I ate one slice (as it was not cut into squares as requested) and that was enough. I was thoroughly disappointed. A doctored up frozen pizza would have been just as good and a lot cheaper. To be fair, every pizza delivery in our town pretty much suck now. It's been a long time since we've had a pizza delivered while still hot...the kind where the cheese is all melted and stringy. The kind where you taste each ingredient, enhanced by a tangy pizza sauce. Seems to me that pizza places are all cutting costs and turning out junky pizza, all at prices that compete with going to a sit down restaurant. And I always tip pretty well. Guess that counts for nothing. Buy a frozen pizza at Aldi and add your...
Read moreAfter seeing the new Cheeseburger Melt all over my news feed, I knew I had to try one. First, the restaurant specifics - the food was hot and ready on time for pickup, perfectly prepared to the recipe, and handed off with a smile. No complaints.
The melt itself is a good cheeseburger experience. The crust is thin and crispy, which might not be what you're looking for compared to a soft bun. The dipping sauce is a pretty standard variety, though a little more mustard forward than I usually prefer, but had good flavor. The real surprise were the fries. Oven baked and perfectly crisp, I would choose them again over the boneless wings.
Is it a "better burger experience" as advertised in the trades? No. There are certainly burgers that I would choose over this, and others I would put aside in favor of this melt. It falls somewhere in the middle, and that is not a bad thing. I would certainly...
Read moreI HAd been ordering the same thing here for awhile, I order the $10 dinner box. WIth breadsticks, cinnamon sticks and pizza. The breadsticks come with seasoning & marinara sauce. The cinnamon sticks come with icing. My box was delivered with no seasoning on the breadsticks, literally just bread. No marinara sauce or icing. If I wanted heated bread I could do that at home, I spent $21 total & when I called they told me that they could credit my account the price of each sauce, which is 0.59 cents. A complete joke. I run a business and this response was pathetic. Please have better customer service, I threw the breadsticks away completely. Done...
