This place gets one star and that is only because of the manager that was on duty. First off we went on a Tuesday evening and it was far from crowded. My better half ordered a mojito and i ordered a margarita, after 20 mins or so they arrive and they are more ice than anything. We order some appetizers, ceviche and home made quac, which took about 15 mins to come out. Quac was decent but the ceviche was nowhere near worth the $15 it was listed for on the menu. After roughly another 20 mins or so i had to stop the manager to ask if i could order my 6yr olds food as our waiter never came back. They brought her out her food rather quickly and i was floored....she ordered chicken tenders and French fries. The fries were shoe string and were overly crunchy but the chicken tenders were more like thin breaded chicken chips that were drastically over cooked, which she would not eat. The manager came and when he found out he brought her a taco and took her food off the bill. The taco was barely warm and the meat was off tasting but she aint it any way. We ordered tacos which eventually came out and were decent but nothing to brag about. The manager came ba k again to check on my daughter which was nice of him and he is the only reason i gave this place a rating at all. The final kick to the groin was the bill.... Two appetizers, two entrees and two drinks was $96.97🤯 This was when i realized that her $15 ceviche on the menu was on the bill at $16.55, my $10.99 quac was $11.37, her mojito was $12 on the menu but $12.42 on th bill, my margarita was .49 more than it was listed and our $16 entrees were charged at $17.58 each!!!
$104 bill and it didnt even have my daughters food on it!!!
Never ever again will i waste my money on such mediocre food by going to this restaurant 🤬
I dont mind spending it but it should be worth it, ill go to Don Ramones in Warrensville heights or blue habanero in brecksville where i will spend just as much but get more food and it will actually be good!!
Disappointed kalaveras, smh...
Read moreWe are so grateful to have Kalaveras in our hometown of North Royalton! Just returned from a fantastic meal there this evening and I can truly say this is my favorite local Mexican restaurant. We often judge a Mexican restaurant on their salsa and Kalaveras has AMAZING salsa! It is fresh, some chunks of tomato/onion and just down right a delightful combination of ingredients! I would buy it by the jar if I could! We ordered a frozen margarita, but it came out barely frozen, which our server apologized for & did offer a reason…we opted to keep the drink as it was. For our meal, we ordered a chicken & steak fajita & it was fresh & delicious!! While it didn’t come out sizzling, it was definitely hot & remained hot during the time we ate it. During the mid-portion of our meal, we were asked by a female employee how everything was (not sure if she was one of the Managers) & we advised her everything was fantastic, but we were a little disappointed that the margarita came out on the watery side (we just happen to enjoy it frozen)…she didn’t hesitate & brought us out another margarita & it was frozen the way it should’ve been…we appreciated her attentiveness & kindness in bringing out a freshly & properly made margarita!!! We also had the pleasure of talking with Levis this evening & sharing our wonderful dining experience with him!! He is running a fantastic restaurant in North Royalton, great food, wonderful staff, etc. we just had to give a shout out to him & say thank you for your contribution to the community & surrounding communities!! We appreciate you!! If you are looking for an awesome Mexican restaurant, check out...
Read moreDined in here for the first time. The atmosphere was just okay, the menu had enough items on it to intrigue my interest. I got the fresh house Margarita and my husband got the regular mango margarita on the rocks. Mine was pretty tasty, but I must say it was mostly filled with ice. The mango Margarita didn't taste like it had any alcohol in it, just mango flavor! As for the dinner's, I got the combination dinner which I ordered an enchilada and a chimichanga. The chimichanga was so little and was basically an enchilada fried in a skillet. Definitely no variation and not worth the money it cost. My husband got the big burrito that has the three meats in it.... He liked his, I tried the jalapeno sauce with the crema and it did taste pretty good. I thought they're salsa was pretty good. Fast forward to the end for the check, everything on the check was upcharged more than what it was supposed to be according to the menu..... .50 cents here, 50 cents there- I guess it all adds up in the end for extra money in their pockets. Unfortunately, I would say this is probably going to be a one and done for this restaurant. We did not question the up charges on the menu, the husband just took less out...
