Royalton Music Center — Local services in North Royalton

From the perspective of a guitarist:

Great selection, friendly & helpful staff, fair prices, good lessons, and always seem to have what I need. Been going here for nearly 10 years now, and this store has been a big part of my musical journey growing up. The only reason that I can't give this place a full five stars is the inconvenient times that they are open. In fact, they have become known in my friend group as "Royal-CLOSED Music" due to the sheer amount of times we thoughtlessly drove out there to get something without realizing its the weekend/Friday.

Friday (12-6) and Saturday (10-4) they close really early, and Sunday they aren't open at all. I'm not saying that its unreasonable for a small business to not be open all the time, but what's tricky is these three nights are the most common gigging times for guitarists. If your last set of strings break before a show you pretty much have to drive all they way out to guitar center (ew) to get what you need. Which, at least for me, feels bad because I'd MUCH rather give Royalton Music my money.

If they found a way to somehow be open a little later on Fridays and Saturdays without breaking the bank, or have a basic guitar-supplies vending machine outside (Hey, they exist :D) they would get a 5 star rating from me but deserve even a 6. With that being said, I honestly can't recommend this store enough, just be careful to go at a time when...

I can’t say enough about what a GREAT experience I had at Royalton Music Center. The employees were top notch! Every person myself (and my 3 children) spoke with were kind, professional, and extremely helpful. Their rental contract is so much better than anywhere else I’ve gone (*1st 3 months free ... only a $20 deposit for damages maybe? Not sure... but what a great deal....And all payments after the 3 month trial goes towards owning the instrument.) I walked out of the store with a baritone, a ukulele and a tuner for my daughter’s cello. Each employee spoke with my children directly to explain something about their purchases and we left the store happy with our experience. Many thanks to your sales associates. Couldn’t be happier. I considered buying a new horn for my son online but called Royalton at the suggestion of his band director. After a brief discussion, Sean advised coming in to try out a few different options, and even suggested asking my son’s instructor to join. This hadn’t even occurred to me but I am so grateful he did. After having to cancel once (thanks Covid) we finally made it in, and the horn options were ready and waiting for us in a private room. After making a decision, Sean once again provided great service in securing financing and explaining all the care considerations to my son. The price was even better than my preferred online retailer was offering. I really hope it’s the last horn we’ll buy for a while, but if I ever need anything else I’ll definitely return to Royalton...
