LUV Ice Cream — Restaurant in North St. Paul

I don't know of any other place like this! Sugar free (they use stevia) ice cream by the scoop that tastes this good has to be rare. They also have pints for sale and I know people will drive many miles out of their way to pick it up at the shop in North St. Paul. My co-op sells it, but there are even more flavors available at the actual Luv store. The owners are very knowledgeable about the products (maybe not a surprise, since they developed every recipe themselves) and are always willing to answer your questions, no matter how many times they've heard them. They also offer coffee, tea and hot cocoa, and sometimes I get those instead of ice cream. It is winter in Minnesota as I write this, after all. There is also chocolate, hard candy and some baking supplies (all sugar-free) available for those who don't love I've cream quite as much as I do. LUV Ice Cream is the BEST!!! Owners, Susanna and Ilya, are outstanding! They are so friendly and accommodating. One time my husband and I showed up at the store, not realizing that it was closed. We walked up to the door and saw they were closed. Ilya got out of his car and offered to get us something. We politely declined, but he insisted it wouldn't be an imposition (which I'm sure it was). Regardless, he opened up the store and made my husband one of their wonderful shakes! It was such a kind gesture and put a metaphorical cherry on top of their sugar free ice cream! Everything in the store is sugar free and delicious. It's nice there's a great alternative for diabetics, keto and people who avoid sugar. Stopped in to try them out for the first time. Was very excited to find so many sugar free options that actually taste great. Reviewers have been very critical of the Waffel cones. When you finally break your sugar addiction you will appreciate this cone! It's more than sweet enough. The "Cardboard" descriptions are all from sugar eaters. Then this place is not for you. Clearly the majority rules here. They are delicious. The Owners are so kind. They offered to show me around and took the time to introduce me to all they had to offer. As a former sugar addict, I so appreciated this extra detail and felt like I had died and gone to Heaven. I sampled ice cream, candy, root beer and one of their homemade Choc Chip Cookies.
