Was supposed to open at 11:00 waited with other customers. Other customers pounded on window we could we NO ONE inside. They left we went back to our car at 11:08 and waited. Pulled away at 11:14 still not open....Called later to talk too manager he yelled at me as did the waitress on the phone. They said they open everyday at 11 and we’re open st 11. I gave him the timeline he then acknowledged opening late. He then said if we wanted to eat their because the food is so good we would have waited. We had already waited being early. How long do you wait? He also said he has too much to do and would open when he opens. I just wanted them to know they lost customers. He then started yelling at me about my son. I did not have my son with. Yelling me he opened the door to let him in and he walked away. I asked for the owners phone number. Obviously was not getting through to this rude person. He refused saying he does not speak English so no one can talk to him everything has to go through him and that is why he is running the place. Wow!!! He is running it into the ground. I asked twice and also what language he spoke he refused to answer. I do have friends who speak multiple languages. This place won’t last long if they let this...

Quality has gone down hill. I went to Village since it had been 2 years hoping it was better than last time.Ordered Village special and garlic cheese bread. The pizza - toppings huge pieces of sausage onions and green peppers in center look like the person's making picked up handful and let them drop. Crust was soggy and rubbery. Garlic cheese bread was burnt and bread was rubbery like they put in the microwave to long. Pizza not the same. My dad has drove 3 hours (1 1/2 hours one way) to get Village and brag to his co-workers how awesome the Village pizza was. Growing up in North St. Paul it was a treat when my parents brought home a large Village special (that was the best pizza I ever had). I have to face the fact original Village Pizza is gone. I hate to say it, I will eat domino's before I go...

I have been coming her since the 60's, born and raised in No St Paul. It has been a staple of No St Paul for all my life. Though all owners, the quality and tradition has been incredible. Until tonight! Ordered a Village special and when we got home we received a pepperoni. No big deal, I called them and they said sorry our fault, keep the pepperoni and they would make another. We drove back after another 30 minutes and they wanted to charge me another $3 because they said I paid for a pepperoni! Then they asked me if I brought their mistake pizza back after saying to keep it. When we got home it was the worst pizza ever, not all of the ingredients were on the pizza. The cracker crust that the village is known for changed to a doughy pre made bar pizza crust. I wont...

I have been coming to this place for 40 years. As with any restaurant you get the good and bad but in my humble opinion ... this place rocks on the whole!! I am addicted to their half pound cheeseburgers and fries ... the proof is in the pudding ... I will post a pic of the beautiful juicy thing!! The new owners are really doing a great job!! The service does leave something to be desired. The older grey haired lady needs to start looking like she appreciates her job instead of dreading to be there. Jeffrey on the grill is the best burger maker I know of and I used to cook for a living so you can take this lady's word for it ... posting pic now ... no words to describe how succulent this burger is ...

Update: Pizza this week was delicious! I phoned for a later takeout time and it was piping hot when I arrived. 1/2 sausage, 1/2 pepperoni and plenty of veg toppings. The sauce is the best and we love the crisp crust! Reasonable pricing ! Older review: Great sausage, mushroom, black olive and green pepper pizza! Nicely crisp crust, plentiful toppings, hot and fresh, delivered quickly!

Garlic toast, wonton and burgers were great. Stay away from the fries (both of ours were, for lack of a better word, flaccid. No flavor. Mushy.)
