Gomez Tacos & Pizza on Hoffman — Restaurant in North Township

This place is more of a fast pickup place rather than a dining experience. I dined in and I’m not too picky about my surroundings for the most part, but if you’re looking for a romantic, dark place this isn’t the place for you. I did have a slight doubt that our food would be greased up and rushed, but gladly I was wrong on that one!

We were given Chips and two types of Salsa. The red was a mild-type salsa and the green had a really spiced up pepper flavor. The Chips and Salsa were still appetizing, nonetheless. I ordered a Chorizo Taco on a corn tortilla, a Beef Taco, and the Gomez Personal Pizza without mushrooms. My girlfriend and I also shared the Big Burrito.

The food did take an average amount of time, but luckily they honor free refills on the Chips and Salsa! The Mexican food was brought first, while the Pizza was still being prepared. The Chorizo Taco was freaking great and packed with flavor! The Beef Taco was really good as well and I’m usually a big critic on beef. The Steak Burrito we shared was alright. I wasn’t a huge fan of it. The Pizza came out shortly after and it was served very fresh. The sauce was definitely the boss of this pizza! I’d probably say there Pizza beat their Mexican food, oddly! It’s much better than a lot of other places I’ve had in Northwest Indiana.

The service was fantastic. He was very polite and handled every task for us. He simultaneously served our table and worked the pickup counter, so to see service that good, really amazes me! You don’t get service like that nowadays.

Overall, I’d definitely come back here and try a different pizza soon. I might also try other things here, too. I recommend...

Was the Best Food in the Hammond Area! Beat Aurelio's,Verona's and State Line for Food! Gomez Pizza has Great Food when the owner is Cooking or Erika was making the Pizza's. But the other guy who makes the Pizza's should look for another job! I was a loyal customer buying $600 to $800 dollars each month buying Pizza's,Gyros and Chicken dinners for a Family of six not including a $5.00 tip each and every time the driver delivered to our home and we are a 1/2 mile from them. I kept getting badly burnt Pizza's anytime this guy cooked! My last order 2 of the 3 Jumbo Pizza's that I ordered were so burnt that I just threw them in the Trash and have not been back since! When you spend a hundred dollars each and every time we would buy sometimes 2 times a week you expect your Pizza's to be cooked right. Every time this one guy would cook our Pizza's they would be sent back burnt! This time I had enough-told my wife that I was done buying from them and I now go to Beggars Pizza in Whiting. I may pay a little more but my Pizza's are hot and not burnt. This guy cost them my Business! If you want a good Pizza Go To...

I would give 0-stars if i could! If youre placing a take-out order and the girl answers just hang up. Whenever we get her she's talking and laughing with people in the background,not paying attention and you have to repeat your order a ton. She always messes something up by not paying attention. The only meat worth your time is the chicken and thats not saying much! Ground beef is just greasy with no flavor. Steak is chewy and grisly with no flavor same as the pork. Low quality meat for sure. The delivery guy always parks down the block at the wrong house. NEVER WEARS A MASK! Don't get how they count as "contactless delivery"?! He hands you all your food and then hands you your reciept to sign with hands completely full had to set my food down on the ground as i had nowhere else and he doesnt help in any way.
