House of Pizza — Restaurant in North Township

I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I have to stop eating at the House of Pizza, because I've been eating there since I was a child. I ordered a salad and added a side of chicken (THEY GAVE ME ONE SMALL CHICKEN BREAST FOR $5+ ) AND a side of shrimp ( THEY SAID IT WAS 7. I RECEIVED 5 I BROUGHT BACK 2) I got extremely sick not even 5 minutes after eating the food. So I brought it all back the next day. I should have known better I should have stuck with the pizza.

I called and spoke with the A.M manager. She told me to bring the food back and I'll get a refund. She said the PM Manger will be there. I brought the food in that night. As requested. I had a terrible experience with the manager with the disgusting, bumpy, acne face. I believe his name was Matt. And another unhelpful female manager she kept saying she didn't know what was going on.

Mind you the chicken is still PINK a day later and after I call myself microwaving it. I explained everything to Matt and he proceeded to insult me by telling me that the strimp and 1 chicken breast that they cut up in strips he felt like it wasn't a big enough portion that I brought back. It didn't take me long to realize the food was making me sick before I stopped eating it. He acts like I brought back 3 strips of chicken or something. And this is all while he's still disregarding the clearly pink disgusting looking chicken that was sitting in front of his face that I brought back.

They Refused to give me my money back. After being told I would by the a.m. manager. Matt also Took the bag of food back in the kitchen and brought it back to me wet and slimy, something a kid would do. He's mad because I'm sick.

Management which I'm sure haven't taken any Management training, they're just people they hired. Was Being unprofessional, Plus willing to lose a customer. Instead of standing behind your business and admitting y'all made a mistake. Especially when you have evidence in your face. They were not the ones who were sick the night before and that whole next morning. I was.. And a week later my stomach is still upset. And it's frustrating because I simply could have cooked but I spent my money with them as I always do. They could have looked my number up and seen that they delivered to me monthly.

I have my own business and if me or someone on my team did something in error. I would put my ego and pride to the side and act like an adult and a professional. And admit that I was wrong and double check with the staff to make sure something like that doesn't happen anymore.

I’d just like to say i’ve always loved house of pizza and i’ve grown up coming here and so has my family, i can remember probably before 2006 we were going here, kinda like a family tradition since my moms side grew up in hammond and spent many family nights there. well this mother’s day i decide to take my mom back to the place she lives so much and grew up at, we haven’t been back in some years but our last visit wasn’t too bad, good food, great friendly service. However upon this visit things seemed to be a little different. we waited about ten minutes by the door as they tried to figure out where to sit us, which is completely understandable since it’s mother’s day, but after they finally sat us down we waited another 30 minutes before we were finally greeted by a server, who was very nice, again considerable because it was mother’s day. Then we were able to order drinks and our food, upon the arrival of the drinks they missed a mixed drink my sister had ordered. which no problem but we had then got our food and appetizers and still no drink, finally after we had all ate they finally deliver the drink which was a bahamba mamba, we order some more appetizers to go with it but upon having a sip of the drink, it was on another level of disgusting, i mean not to strong or anything, but like there was dish soap or something that wasn’t suppose to be in it, we requested another drink back or just a refund on the drink which we were greeted to the most unprofessional manger, who upon asking him to try the drink and telling him we couldn’t drink it tells us all drink sales are final and he can’t do anything about it, and the ask us what he wants us to. i’ve worked in the food industry before, and i know for a fact this isn’t how we deal with situations like this, the drink hadn’t even been drank more then two sips, and all we wanted was another one after spending overs 90 dollars in family dinner. Just terrible this is what it’s come too when we’ve been making the drive and coming here for so long. highly suggest the management is fired. the gentlemen seemed like he had a temper he couldn’t even handle a job at mcdonald’s. But i tried to be the bigger person, paid my bill left a decent tip for the waitress because she was sweet and they were very swamped, but i don’t think i’ll be coming back to my favorite family spot for some time😢. First off, I heard a lot of good things about this place and was thinking about going there alone but instead of that. I decided to bring my family,we visited on 3/22/24 The Food🤔 Now,as we entered inside the restaurant no one really greeted us so we flagged down a waitress and said we'd like to dine in ..so shortly after, we were seated and given menus. After we all looked at the menu we decided to get a pizza pie and some fries for the table. 🍟 So we order a large pie with pepperoni and half Italian sausage and the loaded fries. Warning to All Customers DON'T ORDER THE LOADED FRIES if you're a Group of more than 2-3 People. It's simple aren't enough fries and you would have to place another order!! 😕 I wish I took a picture of how small of a serving of the "loaded" fries were( for $8.95 that was brought to our table 12-14 mins before the pizza was) So it's just basically a hand full of fries on a small oval shaped plate with just a little sprinkle of bacon 🥓 bits,green onions and about 4 tablespoons of melted nacho cheese..😡🙁👎🏾👎🏾 😱 its wayyyyy over priced and Would YOU BELIEVE that the Regular fries are only $3.95?! 😒 I should have definitely ordered the regular ones because the loaded fries were only enough for one to two people max ! Also the fries 🍟 should have been timed to be brought out along with the 🍕 pizza or at least ask us what we would prefer and speaking of pizza 🤨 they should have asked us also how we wanted our pizza cut (I'm not a child,everyone doesn't want it in little,tiny squares) The pizza was decent, the sauce was ok, but the crust was way too thin. The establishment🤨 I honestly don't know who's in charge of the music that's played in there but they currently must be deeply in😍Love ..because it was only slow tempo LOVE SONGS playing loudly, back to back🔊 in the background and I was so 🙄Over It🙉 within the first 10 Mins of listening to it.🤯 I so wish they had outdoor sitting because I would rather breathe in Co2 while eating my pizza then to be listening to the worst love songs of the 80's.
