I had the pleasure of dining at ‘Tzatziki’, a charming restaurant known for its authentic Greek cuisine, and I must say, their ‘Super Gyro Plate’ was a delightful experience. This dish is a hearty feast, perfect for anyone with a love for Greek flavors and generous portions.
Firstly, the gyro meat is the star of the plate. One pound of exquisitely seasoned and perfectly cooked gyro, with a beautiful blend of spices that are not overpowering but rather enhance the natural flavors of the meat. The gyro is tender, juicy, and has a delightful charred exterior that adds a smoky note to each bite.
Accompanying the gyro are four warm, fluffy pitas. These pitas are freshly baked, with a soft interior and a slightly crisp exterior, making them the perfect vessel for the gyro meat and toppings. They hold up well, without getting soggy, ensuring each bite is as good as the first.
The two large servings of fries are a delightful addition. They are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. These are not your average fries; they have a distinct flavor that pairs wonderfully with the rest of the dish.
The fresh tomatoes and red onions bring a bright, refreshing contrast to the rich flavors of the gyro and fries. The tomatoes are ripe and juicy, adding a sweet and tangy element, while the red onions offer a slight sharpness that balances the dish beautifully.
Overall, the ‘Super Gyro Plate’ at Tzatziki is a must-try for anyone who appreciates well-crafted, flavorful Greek cuisine. The generous portions, high-quality ingredients, and the harmony of flavors make this dish a memorable culinary experience. It’s a testament to Tzatziki’s dedication to authentic, delicious food that leaves you satisfied and...
Read moreI stepped inside this restaurant hoping to have a nice, casual meal. I thought it would be a sit down restaurant where you’re served at your table. It’s actually a faster type of restaurant that has you make your order and pay before your food is made. We got to choose where to sit. The restaurant’s seating area was fairly big, so there were a lot of options.
We ordered the Small Dip w/1 Pita. We chose Tzatziki (Cucumber Sauce) for the Dip. We each ordered a Cup of the Lemon Rice Soup. We got a Greek Salad, Gyro Plate, Baklava, and two cans of Diet Soda.
The Pita with the Tzatziki Dip was pretty good. It came cut into four slices. The Lemon Rice Soup was extremely hot! I had to wait a bit after I burned my mouth from it. It was very good, though! I’d place it on my “Top Lemon Rice Soups List” for sure. The Greek Salad was very bland to me. The Gyro Plate came with 2 Pitas, 2 Sauces, Large Fry, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Feta, and Olives. It was stacked with a pile of meat. There was way more meat than we could even fit on both of the Pitas combined. They were alright for the most part, but they did become tiresome rather quickly. The Fries were okay. The Baklava wasn’t too good. The quality just wasn’t fully there and it was too flaky.
The service was good. It was easy to place an order and the food came out very fast!
Overall, I liked some aspects of the food at first, but it all became too boring to enjoy to the fullest. I think the food needs more spice or zest added throughout. Maybe I’ll give it another try in the...
Read moreA curious experience. If you are looking for the dine in greek experience with the server smiling, taking your order at the table, lighting the saginaki and shouting Opa! You are at the wrong restaurant. However, if you want well seasoned properly made greek food, this has options.
Positives: Their food is both excellent and very traditional in spicing. I use dolmades as a test, and the grape leaves were super tender, which is honestly hard to come by. Dolmades have a habit of being a little under, the meat good but the leaves hard and stringy. These were perfectly done. The spanikopita, which my partner let me try, was mild and filling. Spices are robust, but food is slightly heavy on oil. The dishes they have that are traditional greek street food is excellent for the price.
The neutral: the price is 25/head for a dinner, 17 for a lunch. Keep that in mind. It's a little pricey.
The not so good. Service is more or less take out. You will be brought your food and told where silverware and bathrooms are, nothing more. Floor has no AC, which... honestly is fine for greek street Faire, but bear that in mind. Fans help.
Keep prices in mind, but this is a good place to pick up takeout...
