Squigi's Pizza of Griffith — Restaurant in North Township

The owner accused me of lying about my review,, yet this is my very accurate experience and review, which appears to have been deleted: Zero stars should be an option. I had been working extremely hard on a 12 hour day full of labor without a lunch. At the end of the day, I walked in, ordered a pizza. The owner seemed very abrasive, heartless and frankly acted like I was putting her out by asking questions and ordering food. I placed my order. One large pizza with a couple of toppings, extra cheese. I was told it'd be 45 minutes. I left, went back to work and came back 45 minute later, with an insatiable appetite. My pizza wasn't done for over an hour afterward (and they weren't very busy). When it was ready, I tried to pay for it. There were no signs that said that they would not accept $50 bills. That was all I had and the owner just refused to take United States legal tender currency, because she didn't know how to identify counterfeit currency. There are more than 10 different ways to verify it's real and she just said she wasn't going to learn how. Without any notice, she just refuses to take 50s. Well, that meant I wasn't getting the food I ordered and waited over an hour for. It was a Sunday evening in Highland. Nothing else was open. I will never forget your lack of reasonable business practices, you complete ignorance, lack of desire to learn, your arrogant attitude and how you treated me when I was hungered with no other place around to eat. I will never patronize this...

I was wondering what to eat and came across this joint. I had a good feeling about it.

My significant other and I walked inside and unfortunately table service wasn’t offered. I looked at the menu on the wall. There was a sign that stated 4% Higher with Credit Card ⬅️. I looked at the menu the arrow pointed to. We went to the counter to order.

The Pizza section stated Our Pizzas are Hand Tossed to give you that Personal Touch! We went with a Small Cheese Pizza for $10.92. From the Fried Foods section, we got Cheese Curds for $6.24. From the same section, we got Mushrooms for $6.24. From the Side Orders section, we got Garlic Bread for $3.12.

We sat down while we waited. Our order was ready very fast. I was given a free menu, so that was cool. I was excited to try everything. All we had to do was get back to our place.

We were given a free red sauce and a free ranch. The Cheese Pizza was beautiful. Every bite was delicious. The Cheese Curds were decent. With the red sauce, they were better. With the ranch, they were awesome. The Mushrooms were okay. With the red sauce, they were a little better. With the ranch, they were tasty. The Garlic Bread had a nice flavor. I enjoyed it.

The service was great. I didn’t have any issues.

Overall, this joint was a successful stop. I would go again in the future.

These wait was about an hr which is cool customers delivery driver I get it but the whole pizza wasnt thoroughly cut and when its chicago style or whatever with the squares its kind of crucial that being said every piece basically I had to rip the crust apart as the cheese stayed connected and slid off leaving me to bite what I'm pretty sure is crust covered in spaghetti sauce and had to pinch the cheese of the cardboard...... it wasnt bad and its twice as cheap as auraelios but cutting the pizza completely through the crust is crucial and napkins woulda been cool I'll probably order again but for a first time experience excited for Italian pizza....... I had a roommate sample as well he agreed the sauce taste like a spaghetti sauce and he said the crust was flat and foldyish not cardboard or undercooked just...
