Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in North Whitehall Township

The employees there were so rude and disrespectful to my 18yr old daughter tonight that she was literally in tears. One older woman who said her name was Aggie had the audacity to ask her if she was pregnant and after my shocked daughter said no, she told her that her shirt was extremely unflattering. After my daughter replied that it was a very rude thing to say and do, she and the other employee started laughing at her. When I arrived to pick her up she told me what had happened and I confronted them asking for the manager or phone number of the store owner. She told me she was the manager and refused to give me the owners info. Young women in this society face enough pressures about their bodies and self image that they don’t need to be body shamed while patronizing a local business. Whoever the owner is, he seriously needs to rethink the type of people he employs. We will be sharing our experience and won’t be spending another penny at this establishment....

I stopped last night 8/11/24 around 6:30. There were 2 younger men working. 1was working and the other was sitting on the freezer where the ice is stored and was getting scooped out of the same freezer. There were probably 8 people in front of me and yes only 1 was helping customers. When it was finally my time to order I asked if it was sanitary having someone sitting on the freezer right where the ice was being scooped out of and also just sitting around while customers were waiting. BUYER BEWARE. I WAS THERE JULY 17. Between 3:00-3:30. My bill was $4.87. Handed the older woman a $5. Bill. GOT NO CHANGE. I alerted her. She got cocky turned around opened register and basically thru the change in my hand. HAD SHE NOT COPPED AN ATTITUDE AND TRIED TO RIP ME OFF SHE WOULD HAVE GOTTA A DOLLAR TIP.
