This place appears to have been here a long time. The Diner is accessible and visible from the road on Route 20 across from the Northborough Department of Public Works
The Diner is nicely painted both inside and out. The staff is friendly. It has a family atmosphere. Everyone speaks loudly once inside. You can sit at the counter with swivel chairs or sit at a table.
Customers BEWARE.
1)This is NOT a handicapped friendly establishment. There are NO designated close to the entrance handicapped exclusive parking spots. It is first come first serve. 2) CASH ONLY, NO credit or debit cards(they have an ATM that charges almost 3 dollars per transaction) 3) The Food is bland. Bring some condiments in your pocket. Our toast was virtually dry, skimpy on the butter. 4) Coffee, hmmm bland as well. 5) It is pretty busy and our order took longer that expected.
This business has all of the ingredients to be great. Needs a lot of improvement though. We Love to promote local business and we sample many places in the area. I haven't given a business only two Stars but this one needs improvement in many areas.
I do not recommend Chet's but if you're just looking to visit friends once a week, I'm sure it's ok to sit and warm the chair for an hour or less. Leave your handicapped relative at home.
On a positive note, the food was delivered hot. The Waitress was awesome and the bathrooms and the dining room were spotless and clean. Bathrooms are NOT handicapped friendly either and the hand soap is watered down. Skimpy on Butter and Handsoap. Hmmm?
Don't think we will be back. But Thank You for treating us good. The establishment is definitely welcoming from the minute you enter the door. Friendly People indeed.
Sorry for the...

The first thing I noticed was how well they knew their clientele. They clearly know their regulars, but made us welcome. The waitress took her time with us and made sure we got exactly what we wanted.
The food was everything I would have wanted, aside from the toast being a little darker than I like, but then I like my toast light and I didn't share that information, so 100% my fault.
I had a pancake with blueberries which was huge and delicious. I also had eggs and bacon. I admit I am not an American bacon fan, but this super thin bacon was SO tasty. I also had my daughter's sausage links she didn't want, and they were very nice too. The coffee was very good!
The waitress was busy as this place stays full all the time it seems, but she was attentive and friendly. Food took a little while, but wasn't excessive.
The cook was outspoken and full of energy which gave the place a lovely feel and made any wait we had kind of fun
It's cash only, but there is an ATM inside. Their hours are weekday only and they close at 11, so make sure you get there in time and I am sure you...
