I have been a Harry's Famous Pizza customer since their original location at the other end of the plaza, next to Archer Kent's. As others have mentioned, one of their strongest points is consistency. Their pizza has always tasted the same through the decades. Why change when you got it right the first time?
There's much to be said about a pizza place in an area that has way more than their share of pizza places, and yet Harry's is the only that doesn't deliver. It's only been in the last decade that they started accepting something other than cash. Yet, they are by far the busiest pizza place in the area.
As a youngster, my 'go to' was, of course, their cheese pizza. Then I moved on to their pepperoni pizza and finally pepperoni and onions. While I'm now 100 miles away, every time I'm in the area I have to make a trip to Harry's.
And I will add, since he is not internet savvy, my dad would agree and is still a weekly customer (cold cut sub NO CHEESE.....yes he's weird like that.....or his spaghetti dinners).
While Harry's might not be for everyone, the amount of business they do and the many years that they've been in business, says so much about the quality of Harry's...
Read moreThis was my go to pizza place until a few months ago. Not sure what happened but I ordered what I usually order, steak and cheese, large cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers, the mozzarella sticks were burnt and tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in the fryer for quite sometime. The pizza is really really greasy now everything just tastes different I'm not sure if they have a new cook? Also I went recently just to give them another shot and they messed up my order. They have me 2 large cheese pizzas with extra cheese plus other things we ordered and we had ONLY asked for 1 large cheese. I felt bad so I said I'll just take it, but they made me pay for it, I DIDN'T know that until I was home and looked at...

Both were delicious (hubby let me have a taste of his sub!) Really, my only complaint is this: I happen to like onions in my salad. IF I choose not to have them on something, I'll let you know 'no onions, please'. Repeated phone orders over years when the order taker must be cued to inquire if onions are desired, I always respond yes. Today, nobody asked. Ah, finally...they've dropped the question...Umm...or is it I now have to ASK to have onions put on? Not one single ring, slice, or taste of onion. C'mon Harry's!! A salad has onions unless requested...
