Not being from the area, I had wanted to visit Peg's for a long time to check out this vintage Worcester Lunch Car diner. When I visited in February 2020, I found it to be a very friendly old-school diner. The diner is small, with counter seats and four tables. Many of the original features of the diner are still intact, like the original porcelain wall panels inside, as well as the intricate mosaic tile floor and the original stools and tables. The cook (Peg's son) was very friendly, and he cooked me a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage and grilled corn muffin. The coffee was great. I really enjoyed the experience, and the prices were great. I'll definitely return if I'm in the area.

Perfect, exquisite, would give it ten stars if I could - You sit at a bar that was built good in the 1930s and hasn’t needed to be rebuilt since and the kitchens right there. The whole diner is probably 8 feet wide - the three guys working there all appear to be related and kept calling each other ugly - A customer appears to have come by just to chat and do comedy bits with the employees - Cook takes your plate and says good job for finishing your food - cash only, so they give directions down to the bank: “aren’t the first, won’t be the last!” - whole breakfast is 7.25

Called in an order around 12:30-12:45 and it was ready extremely quickly. The staff was super kind, too. They have a smaller menu but the prices are super cheap, this was my first time going and I will definitely go back to try other things. The Tuna melt was sort of greasy but it tasted great and it was white tuna. The clam chowder is a Friday special and was a really great cup of New England Clam Chowder, I definitely recommend it.

Peg's is a small cash only diner that we go to every week. There being only 2 of us, we always find somewhere to sit. The staff is super friendly, the food is classic and great and you seriously can't beat their prices. I've never dealt with any rudeness or had anything wrong with my food and I'm a picky eater. It is a small place so if a whole family goes, your seating is limited and don't expect the "large restaurant, all food comes out at the same exact time" experience. And yes it's a diner, it gets steamy and smoky and there's condensation on the windows sometimes, but what do you expect, you're cooking breakfast in...
