I ordered 1 large specialty pizza, 1 small 2 topping pizza and an order of cheese bread... The total came to almost $38.00. I found a coupon 2 minutes later and attempted to call back for 10 minutes before someone would answer the phone. The coupon was for 1 large specialty pizza and 1 lg one topping. I asked if I could change my order to reflect the coupon and was told no cause the order was in the oven. I asked the manager if they could just send the original order that I ordered and honor the coupon price ( send the small I ordered instead of the large on the coupon) she said no. The only thing I could do was cancel the original order and place a new order. So that's what we did. I told the manager to go ahead and send the 2 pizzas I already orders instead of making new ones, so I would be getting a small pizza instead of the large and yes I paid for the extra topping. She tells me it would be 45-60 minutes for delivery. After waiting and hour and 10 minutes we call to check on the status of our order to be told that it would be another 20 minutes on our order..... That would make an hour and a half wait for pizza that was already cooking when I placed the order.... Worst customer service ever. I will not be ordering from...
Read moreMarco’s is my favorite local pizzeria especially for the fact they will cheerfully deliver late at night - my usual order is for wings, a Philly Sub, or one of their specialty pizzas: Old World pepperoni or a white pizza. The App makes it easy to order and then “re-order” past items, and also tells you when there’s a coupon/discount being offered. I’m mostly a “delivery” customer, but occasionally do “carry out/pickup” as well. The advantages of “pick-up” is meeting the staff “behind the counter (smile) - they are always courteous, friendly and busy. So while we have apps, there’s nothing like picking up the phone, or coming in to explain how you’d like your order. Speaking of communication, Marco’s has a great “community bulletin board” with public, school, playhouse, other type notices and local business cards near the front door. I took out my phone and made a picture of the notices/cards that were pertinent to me! Also, I can usually find a copy of The Coffee News as well. Read moreI've been to other Marco's and love their pizza. I'll never be voluntarily returning to this location, however. I arrived a few minutes after my pickup time and my order wasn't ready for another 10-15 minutes. Fine, no biggie. However, while I was waiting one of the guys in the back started making crude racist jokes and accents, and the other workers were laughing with him. One of the women tried to dissuade them but fell on deaf ears. I get it's a pizza place and I don't expect the highest tier of professionalism, but come on, man. I should have checked my pizza before I left, but unfortunately only noticed their mistake once I got home. I just wanted to get out of there. So my husband called them to make it right. He was put on hold to transfer to a manager. The line dropped after 17 minutes on hold. He called back and was immediately asked to hold. Ok, maybe they were really slammed. But again the line dropped at 17 minutes. He called again and got a manager and unfortunately we will have to take a credit on the account since we lived some distance away and didn't want the pizza remade.
