NM Cafe — Restaurant in Northfield Township

I'm not sure why chicken broth is served as a pre-meal drink. I searched for it on Google, and one of the results was for "chicken broth vodka" -- so maybe next time I need to arrive with a flask.

The food here is pretty good. I had a roast beef sandwich and fries. The fries were alright; the sandwich was toasted nicely and had a tasty horseradish spread on the side for dipping. Drink refills were handled quickly; the service was excellent throughout.

And yes, the popovers are delightful whether you use the strawberry-infused butter or not. If you want more than one, just ask - there's generally a person walking around with a basket of them...

Beautiful room. I felt like I was walking into a Sex in The city episode. Lots of ladies lunching. The food however was over priced and under delivered. The best part of the meal was the popovers and raspberries butter. I ordered a chicken schnitzel sandwich. It was not breaded and didnt have much flavor. My friend ordered Turkey & Havarti with green goddess aioli. She asked for the aioli on the side. The sandwich came with no Havarti but aioli on the sandwich. We had it remade and it STILL had the aioli on the sandwich. $20 a sandwich makes them not...

Overall decent experience dining here for lunch. Excellent service, food was okay. I noticed that the espresso cup and saucer I was given with the chicken broth was very worn down and had a remnant of a lipstick stain at the rim. I suggest that they update their dishes to more pristine pieces. I looked around at other tables and noticed that some others had newer looking dishware. Management needs to eliminate worn out dishware. Also, I was not pleased that they were out of the spiced iced tea. Needs to be a little bit better for the prices they...
