Tried the all steak burrito smothered hot. The burrito was really good. I really appreciated the steak was perfectly seasoned and not over-salted and cooked to a burnt crisp or dripping in some kind of weird sauce. The burrito didn't need any of that because the green chili was so good. I didn't find it very hot but didn't care because it had so much flavor. They topped the burrito in a generous helping of the yummy chili so there was plenty to keep dipping bites of burrito in. They must know how good their green chili is because they also give you a spoon with your meal (kind of rare sometimes). Spoon was perfect to fetch every last bit of chili to eat after thr burrito was gone. I will definitely swing by this place again in thr future when I need a good green chili fix. Service was good too, and the food was served quicker than expected even with the place being a bit more...
Read moreFirst time visitor, and I commend Cafe Mexico on the consistent quality no matter what we ordered. We stopped in 15 minutes before close, and everything was tasty and fresh. My husband and I agreed that the rice was the best we've found at any hispanic restaurant, and we have been to our fair share. The mild green chili is amazingly tasty, not spicy, but a bit of pepper can intimidate the most sensitive, but my 5 year old liked it despite the "pepper". The hot green chili is delicious and hot enough to make your lips burn. I truly want to thank the owner's daughter, I didn't catch her name, but I will next time. Her passion for her family's restaurant and the delicious, authentic food will keep you coming back. Amazing prices, fresh and delicious food, friendly and fast service, truly a gem. Very glad we stopped in, and we...
Read moreThe restaurant was very dull. I wasn’t even greeted when I walked in. Upon receiving my food I ordered two breakfast burritos. One hand held and one smothered, my hand held was smashed by the smothered one, when I got home to eat it my hand held burrito had chile all over the foil on the outside, the whole burrito fell out the bottom, it was incredibly soggy, and the potatoes were still hard. I felt like the tortillas was bought from Target across the street, and the “hot” chile had absolutely no spice to it what so ever. Breakfast burrito I thought included eggs, and if there was eggs I definitely didn’t see or taste any. Super disappointed for my first time in, reminded me of Santiago’s. Probably will not return. My wife has yet to try her smothered breakfast burrito but I can imagine...
