I used to frequent Alberto's when i went to school in the area. Upon returning to Norton, i wanted to take my girlfriend out for a couple of appetizers and drinks. My girlfriend is an international who has a passport, a student visa, an american visa, a student ID, and a credit card. While ordering a drink She presented every one of these forms of identification. Our waitress said she could not serve her because she didnt recognize any of these, so we kindly asked to speak to a manager. When the waitress returned, she said that the manager told her to say that the "Norton Police department is spending a bunch of money on this type of thing to not allow passports", and that "all the other restaurants wont accept them either". I asked the reason and she simply repeated this, and said that the manager was busy. I wanted to clarify the issue so i asked "Do you not serve any person who does not have a United States license?" To my surprise, she agreed, "We do not serve anyone who has a foreign passport."
Three things: 1.) a passport is the highest form of identification. 2.) We have been to Emma's, we have been to Fiesta, we have been to Tavern 33, and we have been to Kelly's. All of them accepted these forms of identification. 3.) The manager never came over to apologize for the inconvenience, to further explain this issue, or to see if theres anything he could do to make up for this. That is what good customer service and management would have done.
I can understand that a business has to be strict with the distribution and sale of liquor. I can understand that some businesses might be stricter than others. But what i cannot understand is the degree of disregard for customer service Alberto's upper management displayed. I work in the service industry, and this is unacceptable. I will not be patronizing Alberto's again for this very reason. And not to mention the fact that the Nachos i ordered were soggy, and the lettuce in my girlfriend's salad was browning at the tips.
Horrible customer service.

Read moreThe food is just meh, but like others have said it could be so much better. Being one of the only restaurants within walking distance of the Xfinity Center, you basically have a free money printing machine every time there is a concert - which during the spring, summer and fall is twice weekly. Maybe just lack of care to do better because they know they'll get enough concert patrons regardless of food quality? If they were located a few miles down the road outside of walking distance to the Xfinity Center, this is the type of divey sports pub that Covid would have killed off.
We got a pizza there and it was about on par with Red Baron. No crunch in the crust, floppy in the middle, extremely greasy throughout and bad quality cheese. The veggies were straight out of the microwave - zero char. But we were very hungry and ate it anyway. They were playing mostly songs from bands that were going to be at the concert which was awesome. The wait staff was really nice and accommodating. Have a few drinks and you begin to not care about the quality of the food anymore. Bring the tums though, you'll need em.
Alberto's, you have the potential for so much more! Invest in a chef or cook that actually knows how to make a pizza from scratch, proper pizza oven & quality ingredients. Not just take it out of the freezer saran wrap and throw it on the conveyor belt oven. Even if you got the pizza dough from Big Y down the road, you'd be well on your way. There's a serious lack of care here in the food quality and it shows. No excuse for...
Read moreThe manager doesn’t care. I got a bbq pizza and there was barely bbq sauce. Ate half threw the rest out. I had ordered several times before and usually the pizza was right but a few times hardly any bbq and I threw it out. At first I had some issues with the girls in the front. Ordered an Italian and it came with American cheese and just lettuce. They didn’t add my tip for the driver once so that and the American cheese Italian was how I was introduced to the manager. Today when I called the manager answered (who I asked for) and I asked for the bbq pizza with more than just lite bbq sauce. I asked for a small pizza which I always get. I told him I don’t want too much bbq either. The driver shows up with a pizza that’s more bbq sauce than the whole pizza put together. It was swimming off the sides of the pizza and it was completely wrecked. It was disgusting. Driver agreed. Wouldn’t accept tip. Sent it back. Worse than you could imagine. I think he did it on purpose. It was also not a small and the driver told me 20.50 instead of the usual 12 or 16$ whatever it is. Last month he told me that they don’t deliver this far but they would this time because they weren’t busy. It’s under 4 miles. I’ve received delivery over 10 times in the few months I’ve lived here. The owner really needs to fire some people specifically the manager and some girls in the front. They don’t want the business. They want it easy and slow so the customer is a burden to them. It’s a shame the food tastes good but it’s not worth it with that service....
