Chez Coby — Restaurant in Norwalk

Let me start by saying I’ve ordered from this restaurant a few times and I’ve always been satisfied with the food ...Today I placed an order with Uber eats I ordered fried turkey and rice and beans ... There was some confusion initially in placing the order so I called to clarify and spoke to a woman who spoke English and was very helpful when I receive my order I had fried pork and plantain... The big issue... I don’t eat PORK .... When I called and I spoke to a gentleman who is extremely rude and felt that I should come and pick up the food or I should come into the restaurant and get my refund .. confused and asked him to remake my food and delivery it but he said he could not do that and he also could not refund my money unless I drove to Norwalk to picked it up in cash he also told me to re-order the food on Uber eats but then I would be charged an additional $35 I explained to him I paid $35 for the food already so that would be a total of $70 for dinner tonight...This guy was something else he spoke to me in a condescending matter and acted as if I was bothering him then I asked to speak to the manager or the owner and ended up leaving my name and number and I also asked for his name and he refused to give it to me..customer service goes a long way we all make mistakes especially when there’s a language barrier but his attitude screw this...

I ordered the fried pork Griot, plantains and white rice off of door dash . First of all the restaurant took 40 min to even accept the order it took about another 45 minutes before I received it . Once received it was nothing I ordered the plantains was missing , the fried pork was stew beef , only thing correct was white rice . I called the restaurant the man couldn't understand me because I have a bit of a sore throat and he yelled at me to speak English after handing the phone to my daughter he told my daughter it's not his problem and to call door dash .. let's just say this is my first and definitely my last time .. the beef stew I ended up eating some but it was so oily I couldn't . At least door dash gave me my money back . If I could give them no...

I called and asked for a small pork with plantains and rice. She said large i kept repeating small. Than i get to the restaurant and i repeated to the women at the cash register what i ordered. So when she told me the price she said $14 and i asked for a small? So then she said on Sunday’s they add salad and etc. so i said to the women i didn’t ask for that, as she was trying to convince me that i need to eat more.
