I want to update my experience after my last review. For the past two weeks, I have been extremely sick following my visit to Golden pho. I have been under the care of urgent care, my primary doctor, the emergency room, and even had to seek out private testing on my own because of how long stool test results typically take.

I ultimately had to pay out of pocket for same-day lab work, and the results confirmed that I was contaminated with " Sparse Giardia lamblia cysts" by the food I ate at Golden Pho

This has not only affected my health but has also been a huge financial and emotional burden. I did not receive any positive or helpful feedback from the restaurant after my first review, which is very disappointing given the seriousness of the situation.

Food safety should be the highest priority at any establishment, and what I experienced is...

The $5-$7 lunch specials are hard to beat. Choose your entree (~20 different options with a variety of meats and/or veggies), rice (steamed or fried), and soup (hot & sour or egg flower), plus an egg roll on the side.

Food: super solid. The hot & sour soup was delicious. I got the kung pao beef, which was great. I'm glad that they didn't cater too much to Western taste buds and make everything cloyingly sweet/salty. I'd stick with the steamed rice though. The fried rice is literally, fried. rice. Not egg fried rice with bits of veggies. Portion size was perfect.

Service: friendly, prompt. the owner seemed very eager to give recommendations, which were appreciated. took a little while for the check though, but it looked like there only 2 people manning the whole front-end of the place so not...

Been here once before and we were the only ones so service was good. Not today however. My boyfriend and I showed up and were seated right away. Then a few minutes after 3 other couples showed up and we're seated. They all recieved their drinks and appetizers before us. We actually got our spring rolls about ten minutes before our drinks were brought out. The other 3 couples were done and out before us even though we got there first. It's as if they were doing it purposely. There was no way it was a staffing issue because everyone else was served in a timely manner. They just did not go in order with who comes in first. It was extremely irritating watching everyone else get their beverages and food way before us when we got there way before them. This was just terrible...
