Golden West Donuts — Restaurant in Norwalk

This donut shop is the closest one to my house so I've come here a lot of times before. But today when I came here, I received the biggest disappointment that I've ever got from any donut shop. SO BAD, that I don't ever even take time out of my day to write a review for anywhere but I just had to for this place. I ordered a ham, egg, and cheese crescent and a blended Thai tea boba drink. The guy grabbed a crescent from a glass case on top of the counter above the donuts, and just tossed it into the microwave and heated it up. That was already weird enough, but once I took a bite out of it, I see the cheese all on one side inside the crescent, and one slice of cheap ham rolled in the middle of it. Such a disgrace. And then my boba drink was ready, but now how I asked for it. It was just the liquid with ice and whip cream on top. I specifically told this guy BLENDED Thai tea boba. When he gave it to me I told him that's not how I wanted it and he claimed that I ordered it that way and refused to fix it for me. On top of all of this, they charged me up the ass for this crap. $8 plus the 80 cent charge if you pay with card. Never coming...

I NEVER make reviews but this shop deserves 5 stars all around. This is small family owned business but such underrated food! The sandwiches are so good, and the cheese is just the right melted :). I stop by here once every few weeks and have been for 3 years--and they're always consistant with the food they serve. The prices are very good for this area with things like donuts and water is just around $1.50! It just feels so homey and warm, and the lady at the counter is so nice, and she always makes small talk with every customer. I highly recommend supporting this small...

So apple fritters are my favorite donuts and let me tell you, these have actual apples in them. Unlike Yum Yum Donuts, it actually taste sweet, like the real kind of sweetness not that fake sugar on top of sugar kinda stuff. I can even taste cinnamon in it. It's also always moist when I get it. The butter milks are also great. Would prefer to buy my stuff from Mom and Pop shops than big companies like Target or Subway. I would recommend coming here to anyone who lives...
