Went here for my usual grocery shopping. I was stopped by the Produce Manager to be harassed for 15 minutes about how buying items from the back (freshest) is wrong and not following their system. He wanted to tell me that how I shop for groceries is wrong and not according to their system and would not stop bothering me when I told him that I am busy. I reported this to the manager who came back to tell me that They were “just kidding” and that I misunderstood. If being lectured that buying older groceries is beneficial for the store’s business and that buying things from the back is considered “cheating” is a joke, I can see why they manage produce instead of being a comedian. The manager believed the produce guy and basically implied I only misunderstood. Very disrespectful and I am very surprised Stater Bros allowed for this kind of treatment to their customers. I won’t be going back here especially after almost buying a box of chicken broth that was leaking. A very regretful experience walking into this store. This isn’t my first time having a negative experience here either. The first time was when I pulled out the parking space I was in, some workers said that “First asian that knows how to drive”. Overall, these workers aren’t happy to work the weekend shift and turn to exhibiting toxic behaviors for their entertainment. I won’t be looking forward to coming back here to this hostile environment again. UPDATE: called their “corporate” office. Lady who picked up was very minimal when it comes to customer experience/ satisfaction. She couldn’t care less with her monotone voice as she responds with the bare minimum after I told her of the stress their employee caused me. They said they’d call back once disciplinary action took place however its been almost a month and no call back. I can only assume they allow this kind of behavior to persist and have little respect for...
Read moreWalked in on a random Tuesday morning with nothing but my sister, my bag, and a quest to get things for our road trip. We wandered the grocery store, completing the list and grabbing a few extra things.
Soon I’d gotten everything except for one thing, my father’s plantain chips. It was the one thing he requested for this trip and I’d be damned if I wasn’t going to find them. I left my sister to her devices in her snack aisle and went down about three aisles before I heard “Do you need help looking for something?” by one of my saviors. I told him of my quest and off we went to the produce section, we found my second and third saviors there, but no plantain chips. One of them went on their own to look through the aisles as the other two lead me to a section where they thought it could be. It was not, they asked my fourth savior if she had any idea where they could be and she began leading us to an area where they might’ve been. Along the way my fifth and final savior asked if they needed help finding something, to which they relayed the situation, he also went off in search of these fabled plantain chips. We’d circled the store three times when at long last we found them, the myths were real. As I thanked the three that were with me, the two that had gone off on their own came back as well. I will never forget what those valiant heroes did for me and I ended up buying all three types of plantain chips out of respect for those men and women.

No idea if those five employees were bored, had a lot of time, genuinely wanted to help me, or a combination of all of the above but...
Read moreThe only reason your guys bakery is getting one star from me is because I can't leave zero stars. I have always came here for my family's birthday cakes for years. Last year was the first bad experience I had when they all of a sudden changed their policy to not let me order over the phone and everyone I spoke with was horribly rude, even one of the managers hung up on me. Today I thought I'd give them another shot for my daughters birthday, I came in to order the cake like their new policy states. I called before coming to make sure of what time the bakery closed and to see if they do cupcakes. When I get there the girl working at the bakery had a terrible attitude and they were telling me i could not pick up my cake until after 3pm. I feel like that should have been relayed to me when I called. My daughters party is reserved from 3pm to 5pm and I could not pick the cake up after 3pm. They made me waste a trip driving down there. The bakery staff is super unprofessional and rude. I ended up calling the La Mirada location and they let me place my order over the phone and were super helpful. DONT COME TO THIS BAKERY. They act like they are the cake gods or something here. Take your business to a different stater bros for cakes because this bakery is a nightmare...
