I was going to a bbq and wanted to bring Brazillian desserts to my Brazillian friends. I was given the name Taste of Brazil. I called and tried to order specific desserts, but the owner told me to come into the restaurant on the day needed and specified and they would have the specific desserts I requested, for me. I went in on that day and a woman was there who said everything in the display counter was sold. It wasn’t a lot, it was not separated nor put away, and I told her what the owner said. She went on in a very rude manner how she didn’t care, that someone bought them all this morning. I told her how I set this up with the owner and politely mentioned how I wished he would not have told me what he did, because I planned in advance with him, several days earlier. I was kind and told her this nicely. She did not care, was quite rude, could have been apologetic, accommodating, or at the very least, nice, but didn’t care about customers or leaving me screwed at the last minute. Se also was defensive and raised her voice, which is the irony, because usually a customer who was left screwed at the last minute would be this way. It was the opposite. This woman was horrible and unhinged. So not only did they leave me empty handed after calling ahead, she raised her voice at me for no reason, not even caring that I had made the time and effort to set it up.
Furthermore the place was FILTHY. Probably a very low inspection score. The desserts were a rendition of the authentic dessert I thought I was going to get. But there was filth all over the walls, the doors and it was a blessing in disguise they didn’t care about my order. She tried to argue with me but I wouldn’t engage. Waste of time and energy. All she had to say was she was so sorry. Instead yelled at me. Embarrassing for her and this horrible/dirty restaurant.
After leaving I googled Brazillian food nearby and found Restaurant da Graca. They saved the day, the food and desserts were authentic and delicious. They were also kind and customer driven. So helpful, the real deal you get in Brazil, and we’re so incredibly helpful in a pinch. If you want a clean, authentic, and superior version of Brazilian food go to Gracas. They saved me at the last minute and are also family run. The daughter and Graca were so lovely and helped me so much. The food was incredible and I now have a Brazilian place I can go to locally! Do yourself a favor and go to Gracas! You won’t be disappointed and if you have an order or catering order, they will follow through. Good thing I left time, because Taste of Brazil was HORRIBLE. And dirty, mean, and unhinged lady managing the place.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I’m surprised this place is running as it appears as though it would never pass an inspection. Plus the selection and presentation was terrible.
If I wasn’t screwed or yelled at and it wasn’t filthy, I would not bother to leave a review, but hopefully it will warm those looking for a wonderful dining experience and a taste of authentic Brazilian food. DONT go here, you will be disappointed. And she almost sold me someone else’s catering order if that also tells you something. What a terrible Taste of not...

Read moreIt's a small, clean place with simple average food. Has a buffet that you are charged $8.99/lb. If you want any meat other than the 2 or3 or so, on the buffet such as a very thin sirloin steak, it's an extra charge. I ordered a medium rare steak (thickest available) and was served a medium to medium well steak about 1/2" thick. It was pretty bland other than the garlic seared on it. Came with almost sauteed onions on top. The watermelon was very salty, potato salad had a fair amount of mixed vegetables, was not a fan. Bottom line- no, I don't have...
