Katherine's Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Norway

Was really excited seeing a bakery so my wife and I went there with high hopes the bakery is clean and looks nice and the food looks good .But the one thing I didn't like was the attitude staff gave when when my wife asked if they had cream puffs which are on the menu and it's written in marker on the display case the girl at the counter says no we don't have any of those , so my wife politely asked do you know when you will have some? the answer was she only bakes when shes in the mood and she only makes what she wants so you never know when we will have them again , Its different every . I just think there were many ways to say it nicely She could have said oh Ill write that down and see if we can get some in rather then making us feel very unwelcome and as if our business was not needed when we just spent 20$ on two pastries . A local bakery with fresh made pastries from small to big cakes. A wonderful selection of egg as well regular lunch sandwiches. Good selection of drinks to choose from as well as fresh coffee made every day. Check their lunch specials during the summer days--they are made fresh every day. You can order any dessert and they will make it fresh for you. They also make their own ice cream--don't forget to try their oreo cookie flying saucer or any special ice cream they might have available for the day. Wide variety of milkshakes available. Service is also great--staff is attentive, friendly & can accommodate any special request you might have. Plenty of seating available to dine indoors as well as outdoors. Just a preface to this review - I am a vegetarian, so my views relate to that food choice! Of the many breakfast and lunch sandwiches on the menu, unfortunately only one, maybe two are vegetarian. Both of these also include cheese so if you are plant based you have to request not using it accordingly. I ordered the "Otisfield", a portabello mushroom sandwich. It tasted just OK, with a medium sized mushroom, pesto and lettuce/tomato. Unfortunately it was no where near worth the $14 plus tax. For those of us plant based eaters, please add some options, and re-evaluate the affordability of these sandwiches.
