The wait for a Jimmy John’s sub was ridiculous.. we waited 5 min to be acknowledged and another few to get our order placed. Waited 30 minutes to even get our subs. I felt bad and wanted to give them grace as I’ve been there before, working with a short staff. But things I noticed as I was waiting: lady employee making bread with NO gloves and going back and forth touching her personal cell phone, boxes of inventory in the dining area, chips and cookie displays basically empty, dirty tabletops, trash bin that goes in the trash compartment just sitting next to it, trash on their floor where they prep their food, cleaner/chemicals sitting on counter near food and registers. And absolutely no sense of urgency from the 3 people working. They all moved at the pace of snails. Usually if you have customers waiting in lines your sense of urgency is heightened. Lady before me requested a refund and I’m assuming to write a formal complaint I’m not sure, but all 3 of the workers just had to be apart of it causing the longest delay in making everyone else’s order.
As for our order, they had no tomatoes on our subs (i think they were out but they didn’t mention it to us?) And the lady didn’t put the cheese in our sub that we paid extra for, the bread tasted burnt or old idek.
Just a suggestion to the owner of this specific location, if your team cannot perform under high pace environment or if you’re short staffed, you are better off closing for the day or even week to find a whole new staff to train! They are causing you a lot of customers to...
Read moreIt was a Saturday afternoon, and my girlfriend and I were feeling quite hungry. We decided to order some sandwiches from Jimmy John's, a well-known chain restaurant in our area. As we placed our order over the phone, we noticed that the person on the other end of the line was acting strangely. They seemed to be whispering and giggling with someone else in the background.
Despite our initial discomfort, we continued with our order and eagerly awaited our food's arrival. However, when the delivery arrived, we were shocked by what we heard. The two employees who had delivered our food were openly calling us names and making crude remarks about our appearance and gender.
My girlfriend and I were completely taken aback by this appalling behavior. We couldn't believe that we were being treated so poorly by employees of a well-known restaurant. We immediately demanded an explanation, but the employees simply shrugged and walked away without a word.
We were left feeling humiliated and deeply hurt by the whole experience. It was a stark reminder that discrimination and bigotry can still rear their ugly heads in unexpected places, and that we must remain vigilant in our efforts to combat such behavior.
The incident at Jimmy John's left a lasting impression on both my girlfriend and me. We were shaken by the level of disrespect and hostility we had experienced, and it served as a reminder of the importance of speaking out against discrimination and hate wherever it may occur.

Read moreNot only was my order completely wrong (with no one in line at all but me) but the same staff member photographed in another review gave me a very questionable experience, too, although I don’t really support photographing people without their knowledge. I was there way before closing, at least 45 minutes, but her voice on the drive thru speaker honestly sounded incredulous when I pulled up. I thought I was reading into it until at the window, I could hear through the closed glass that she was apparently complaining to another employee about people coming through their drive thru instead of to another restaurant, and she even continued to complain vaguely about it in front of me when she unlocked and opened the window (the in front of me comments became vague enough that it’s clear she thought I couldn’t hear her specific complaints through the window when it was closed).
When she finally actually spoke to me she wasn’t rude but the overall context of what was going on and how she apparently really felt was unbelievable. I hope I’m wrong about all that but I just don’t know what else they could have been talking about. I’ve never had this happen at a jimmy johns anywhere in any state or city and just wanted some healthyish food after a long night.
