As someone with a severe gluten allergy, I always take extra precautions when ordering food. I visited Baker’s Dozen and ordered a breakfast sandwich on a gluten-free bagel with a hash brown. After paying, I inquired whether they toast gluten-free items separately to avoid cross-contamination. I was told that everything is prepared in the same space, with no specific safeguards for allergens.
When I explained the severity of my allergy, the manager brushed off my concerns, stating that “no one else is sensitive to cross-contamination,” implying my experience was an exception rather than a health risk worth accommodating. This response was not only dismissive but dangerously uninformed.
Instead of using a safe method to warm the food, they microwaved the bagel—so long that it became inedible. The food quality was poor, and the staff’s attitude ranged from indifferent to outright rude.
Allergies aren’t preferences—they’re medical conditions. Businesses in the food industry have a responsibility to handle them with care, or at the very least, with respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at...
Read morei don’t know what happened... i came to bakers every morning and it was always fantastic awesome coffee. now the past month i’ve gone a handful of times (now out of my commute) early around 7-7:30AM and it’s absolutely awful. I get the same coffee every time, and lately it’s been water. last visit there was once ice cube in my iced coffee, just to realize i had a cup of water and not iced coffee in my cup. today was the last straw, another person tried my coffee that i’ve praised over how good it is and literally spit it out. i even got them a regular coffee and theirs was just as watery and awful. I have noticed that if i go around 10:30-11, there’s a 70% chance i’m getting a good coffee again but it should be as good as it always was in the mornings! unfortunately, i’m going...
Read moreGreat and unique coffee flavors here! They have everything from chunky monkey to snickers to almond joy. The staff is always super nice and friendly. Doughnuts are better than dunkin's in my opinion; they aren't as sweet or artificial tasting. The raspberry filled doughnut is more of a jam consistency, in the most delicious sort of way. Only downside is sometimes the coffee tastes just like the flavoring/syrup mixed with water. Not sure if it is due to really weak coffee but this has happened a couple of times.
Their many options for unsweetened coffee flavors and delicious bakery selection (such as stuff muffins!) still make this a place...
