Dixie Donut Shop — Restaurant in Norwich

I just went here for the first time today. I was on my way to Dunkin, but seen this little don't shop on the corner on the way there. I decided to give it a try. It was only 12 pm and they already had all of the chairs up on the tables and when I came in, I immediately felt rushed by the girl at the front counter. I told her it was my first time there and wanted to see what they had. She had an attitude. They only had one type of bagel out and the donuts were already on a rolling cart in the back. The front girl was very short with me. I was asking questions about what time they close and if they were open all week because obviously I was thinking of coming back and she gave me "yup" answers every time. The lady who was putting up the chairs was very friendly. And so was the lady in the back with the glasses. Just some advice. If you get a NEW customer in the store, the employee serving them shouldn't make them feel like you're bothering them. It makes the customer not feel welcome and DEFINITELY not want to come back. Word of mouth is everything... The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because of the other 2 ladies and the egg and cheese on a croissant was decent. I will NOT be returning....

Cute little local donut shop. Was small inside with few tables, we went at 9 am on a Saturday, waited a few minutes inline. Looks like a bunch of locals have been sitting at most of the tables for a while so there wasn’t anywhere to sit so we took it to go. We each ordered a donut with a breakfast sandwich. The bagels were fresh and the donuts not too sweet. I was watching them make the breakfast sandwich and they just microwaved the sausage patty with a slice of cheese on top before putting it on the bagel to create the sandwich. The overall breakfast sandwich lacked taste and overall wasn’t impressive. I’d definitely stick to the donuts if I were to return. I’d like to try the...

I've checked this place out a couple of times this year, and I try to get there early before the Saturday morning rush. The wait usually isn't too long, and the donut and pastry selections are great. The coffee is average, so the donuts are really the prize. I found the younger counter help to be a bit inexperienced at the register. A few people pulling the donuts and drinks seem a bit annoyed with the people they are serving. It would be great to see a few smiles on a weekend morning to start the day! I'll drive by in future and grab a couple of donuts to take to...
