Caddy Shack Cafe — Restaurant in Norwich

My family & I came here for dinner over the weekend. We had never been here before & heard good things, so we wanted to try it out. We told them there was 6 of us, but 2 of them were still on their way & would be here in 5-10 minutes. They told us we had to wait for our entire party to arrive to be seated, so we did. They arrived a few minutes later & we were seated. We then sat at our table for 50 minutes (I really wish I was exaggerating) & the waitress had still not taken our orders yet. We were trying to be patient because it was a weekend at dinner time, so we thought maybe the kitchen was backed up & they were trying to space out orders. Finally one of us spoke up & asked if we could at least get her to take our orders & she said she had been ready to take our order this whole time & was waiting for us! She said we told her there were 8 of us, when we actually said 6 & we were told we couldn't be seated without our full party... so why would we have been seated if we were still waiting. Even if that was the case, we told them the other 2 people were 5 minutes away, so why would you make us sit there for 50 minutes & not once ask us what is going on... After 20 minutes, she should have asked us, if that is what she thought was going on. We were super annoyed at this point.... I ordered the prime rib and asked for medium. It came out well done & was seasoned like a pot roast, not a prime rib. The mashed potatoes had no seasonings in them at all.... My dad & nephew ordered seafood dishes & the cheese on top was slices of Kraft singles. We were very disappointed in...

I was sadden by the way the wait staff handled a situation. Four of us women who golf on a weekly basis decided we were going to have a drink and bite to eat after our 18 holes.The sign before you enter said to call and let them know your here. We did that and also walked in to see what was next. We were told to go outside and wait and they would come get us when a table was ready. As we were outside waiting which ten minutes or so a group of men asked us what was the procedure. We told them what we did. So the man called. About five minutes or so the waitress came out to tell the men their table was ready and the man even said we were standing there before them. The waitress was rude and said she was told they were next. She even argued with us about it. We did everything we were supposed to do. The food is good there as I have eaten there a few times with my husband who is a member. But the staff was totally out of line. We left feeling discouraged for...

If it was possible to leave 0 stars I would. On our 3rd and final attempt to actually get into the restaurant (the previous two were failed after waiting over an hour each time in the parking lot for a table after being told there was a 20 min wait) we were able to get right in, and placed an order. After an hour wait (the kitchen was focused on take out orders instead of the people actually sitting and waiting on food), we finally received our meals.
