Millie's Ice Cream Stand — Restaurant in Norwich

Delicious soft serve, VERY tasty. The service was great, the woman offered us a taste of the hard ice creams before commiting to a whole scoop (or more). It was a mini scoop handed to us in a tiny plastic cup with a tiny plastic spoon. Very generous samples. My kids got smalls and they were pretty big! The hard ice creams were FULL of bits and pieces. One of my kids ordered smores and the other moose tracks and they were loaded with the morsels that made the flavors. There was a driving range (golf) directly behind and maybe 5 (or more) picnic tables. Some right there in the patio, others were up off to the side in the elevated lawn area. We were very pleased with our visit. Landscaping was nice to look at too they had flowers pouring over the rock wall and my son mentioned "I like that you dont have to touch the garbage to throw stuff away" Parking was spacious and easy in/easy out. They also offered frozen yogurt and I recall seeing a dairy-free option but I cannot recall...

GPS on Waze & Google maps gave bad directions, point your GPS to Malerba's Driving Range. Very friendly staff that serves ice cream they stated originated from Massachusetts. Familiar flavors and choices, in a fun welcoming atmosphere. Attached to a driving range, and while we arrived late, a walk around the area seems like this would be a fun spot. As a local spot this is a well used but cared for and relaxing place. So while staff and internet were inconclusive about the origin of the ice cream served, they should be more open about it, because there is no reason otherwise to go out of your way to visit...

We absolutely LOVE Millie's Ice Cream. We take our soon to be 94 yr old (7/28/1929)father nearly every day. His favorite flavor is the no sugar added Butter Pecan on a waffle cone! He says: "This is the Best ice cream I've ev-ah tasted & nevah wasted. I ate it all!" He thoroughly enjoys watching my dog, Lady devour her Pup Cup. And we take such pleasure in making these memories some of the sweetest ever. Oh yeah - and I'm now known as the "origami gal" as I always try to find a neat way to leave a tip.
