crazy taco bar & grill — Restaurant in Norwood

Ordered late lunch delivery via Grubhub mid-afternoon last Sunday and the food arrived on time and hot. Birria tacos & quesadilla and fajitas were really good but the nachos with pork belly were very disappointing.

We were surprised to find out that there is one item at this Mexican restaurant that is Asian fusion - the pork belly is inexplicably prepared with apples and Korean BBQ sauce…why?! They also use a queso sauce, not melted cheese, which might be good but the Korean bbq sauce we didn’t expect (or want from a Mexican restaurant) covered too many chips and we ended up tossing the whole thing. The nachos do not come with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream…another surprise.

Had an enjoyable dinner here—definitely worth the trip. The setup is similar to a fast-food spot: you order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table. We wish we'd looked over the full menu beforehand; some of the combo options looked great. We ended up with the nachos (made with homemade chips) and a mix of tacos—shrimp, pork, fish, and chicken. Each taco packed a lot of flavor and felt freshly made. The staff seemed busy handling takeout orders, which affected table service a bit. The atmosphere felt like a cross between a pizza joint...

Wow, just wow! As someone who’s spent a lot of time in Mexico and has a real appreciation for authentic Mexican flavors, I can confidently say that Crazy Taco in Norwood, Massachusetts, serves the BEST birria tacos I’ve ever had. Seriously, these tacos are on another level! The seasoning is spot on, the lime adds the perfect zing, and the protein is tender and full of flavor. Every bite is pure perfection.
