D & G Deli — Restaurant in Norwood

Long overdue review. My husband grew up in Norwood and wanted to show me the "best chicken salad place" that he knew. Whoa! He was right, they're perfect! Anytime we are even close to Norwood, we go out of our way to swoop in and grab some sandwiches. The owner is wicked nice and cares about his customers too! I was having a rough day recently, and REALLY NEEDED a D&G chicken salad sandwich.. I wasn't even thinking about what time it was, and when we arrived at D&G, we discovered it had closed 3 minutes before we got there. I had a really dramatic meltdown in the car, and somehow the owner saw this. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a friendly guy waving me in; was the owner! He hooked me up with a sandwich and TRULY saved the day. Thanks D&G! ...

For a few households, I ordered 16 lbs of chicken salad and finger rolls and a Greek salad. I ordered 2 days ahead so I wouldn’t go in and unexpectedly take so much inventory from their refrigerated case and bread shelves. I parked on the side street beside them. Everything was ready on time. They are insanely busy but work quickly and pleasantly and folks are in and out. Staff even offered to assist with bringing everything out to the car. As always, chicken salad is perfect, finger rolls are fresh and good, salad was fresh with plenty of dressing on the side. Thank you-this provided a treat...

Small little deli and conveniance store offering prepared meals, soups and delicious subs. I use to live down the street and I would frequently stop in. Their steak and cheese and meatball subs are delicious. However the show stopper is their chicken salad. Absolutely delicious! Might be the best in the state.
