Between the Bunz- ridiculously good! My wife and I just had our first of many visits there this evening 8/12/25. I would give them more stars if I could. Elevated hot dogs, smash burgers, and chicken sandwiches as well as lobster rolls. Truly one of the best burgers I have ever had. I had the double Whoppah. The quality and taste of the meat is sublime. These guys also specialize in homemade sauces (eight I believe) and they are delicious, alone and on the food. The seasoned fries and sauces are a must. Tip- get the slaw. My wife had the Hot Chicken Sandwich. Sooo good. Seriously, it was one of those eating experiences where the conversation between us for twenty minutes consisted solely of moans, eye rolls, and upward head tilts while we experienced 20 minute FOODGASMS! Their huge homemade cookies (made fresh daily- as is all their food) are only $2 a piece. They could easily charge $5. We took home six different cookies and they did not disappoint! We want to taste EVERY item on the menu. That has never happened to me in my life (I am north of 60😊). The atmosphere inside is upbeat, funky and artistic. We had the privilege of a two long convos with one of the owners- Mark. He took ten minutes to explain every meal and its components/ ingredients for us 1st timers. He also has an interesting story to tell about how Between the Bunz came to be. He is personable, professional and his passion for the food that he and the other owner create, cook and serve is evident. They love what they do - and it shows in their food. AUTHENTIC (a rarity in humans in this day and age) is the best way to describe these guys and their lovingly prepared food. Check out their Facebook page and watch the video. Very informative before you visit. Get your appetite and hustle over to Between the Bunz ASAP. You will be...
Read moreSo, this may be a long review, but I just felt compelled to leave one. I never really leave reviews at places that go to, but I felt like this place definitely needs my time to write a review. My partner, kid and I hangry, walked into this burger place we saw the day before, name was very catchy so naturally as New Yorkers we decided to give it a try. A guy gave my son a really nice compliment on our way into the joint and we had no idea he was the owner. He was just getting some fresh air in the park across from the restaurant We walked into the Burger place come to find out the guy who gave my son a compliment was the owner of the place. He was so amazing and took time out to explain the menu to us since this was our first time at his establishment. We’re tried a burger, a chicken sandwich and some chicken tenders, all with fries and sodas. It was amazing, as New Yorkers, I tried a lot of good food and it’s very rare to find a place in Massachusetts that is so amazing that we are going to add to our regular rotation of places to go to. This place is amazing and we are happy to have found it. I can’t wait to bring my in laws here. Also I’ve never seen this many good reviews for a restaurant. That just tell me a lot. This place is legit. Shake shack who? Try this place and thank me later. Ps: I don’t even like pickles and ate their chicken sandwich with pickles and brought my left over smash burger sauce and honey...
Read moreNorwood has no shortage of great eats, but if you’re looking for a spot that serves both an incredible smash burger and a mouthwatering lobster roll, you’re in for a treat. I recently had the chance to try both at Between the Buns, and let’s just say, I’ll be coming back for more.
First up—the smash burger. From the first bite, it was clear this burger was done right. The beef patty was perfectly smashed on the griddle, creating those crispy, caramelized edges that make a smash burger so special. Juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of char on the outside, it was complemented by a soft, buttery bun that held everything together beautifully. The toppings were simple but effective—melted cheese, crisp pickles, and a tangy sauce that tied it all together.
And then, the lobster roll—a true New England staple. The lobster was fresh, sweet, and generously portioned, nestled inside a toasted, buttery split-top roll. Lightly dressed in just the right amount of mayo (or warm butter, if you prefer the Connecticut style), it let the natural flavor of the lobster shine. Every bite transported me straight to the coast.
Pair either of these with a side of crispy fries or a cold drink, and you’ve got a meal worth savoring. Whether you’re craving a juicy burger or a fresh taste of the sea, this spot in Norwood has...
