Uncle Louie G's Italian Ice & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Norwood

Went last summer. Did not have the flavor I wanted, never once happened at other locations. Had 5 people working the window completely unorganized. Had kids (multiple) seemingly under working age handing products through the window multiple arms reaching in and out at once. Service in general low quality. My families last time going the line was so poorly managed we left and so did other groups off the end of the line. It is clear the owner treats this as a side hustle/investment and is not a food industry person and not taking it seriously. The ice itself is not as good as I was used to. Had known other locations previously but decided to give this a try since it’s in town show support and shorter drive… but after trying multiple times and giving them second chances it was failure after failure and never been back since- never will. Drive the extra distance for high quality product, nice people, and good service. The reason I go to other locations is because of their reputation and the relationships they have built which is why I will always drive further and take it home (and still tastes better after bringing it home triple the distance). For starters, my son absolutely loves this place and their ice cream. He goes very often and is always so excited to go back. My first time there, the staff was so friendly and patient while I looked at their options (which they have a HUGE variety! If they don’t have what you’re specifically looking for, they’ll have the next 6 best things!). I would also like to add that my son uses his CashApp to purchase ice cream - there was a mishap with a transaction and before we found out it was CashApp’s glitch, my son and I went to talk to the owners about it! They were so sweet, helpful, and supportive. The owner’s wife was extremely patient with us and tried her hardest to help us figure out what went wrong. 3 Strikes and I'm Out! I gave my first experience a pass since it was their opening night but my next and final 2 visits are it. I feel bad this owner probably invested his retirement or part of it because at this rate, I do not see how this store lasts. I watched 5 groups leave tonight before I left once at the counter. Out of the flavor my son wanted. His help is terrible and rude to customers. I watched a server undress a customer over a cup size. Cup sizes are a joke by the way.
