I had a disappointingly poor experience with this bakery. I got very excited to see a new Korean bakery opening in Novi specially since Korean and Japanese breads are my favourite. The bread prices is way over priced with most of them over $4 a piece (I have been to Korean bakeries in California, NY, and Chicago and they all still were cheaper) and the taste of the bread was disappointing . With few Japanese and Korean bakeries in metro Detroit area (I am better off with the Japanese bakery that is couple of roads off or the Korean bakery in Ann Arbor. I find this one by far the most expensive one and least promising. I tried their coffee assuming I am getting a Korean latte. The person who made the coffee spent more time trying to read how to make it off the wall and eventually when she made the coffee which was more expensive than a Starbucks I was blown away with how poorly it tasted. I am giving them 2 star because their mocha bread was okay. Two of the other breads I couldn’t finish and I ended up...
Read moreOur school PFO (Gallimore in Canton)treated us to choose 2 items from the Bakecurry menu. I got the garlic bun and Hodduck Croffle. They also threw in a surprise bag of what I call "bits". Let me explain what I received. You hear garlic bun and think savory...nope. I was a delightful bread bun (about the size of a bao bun) stuffed with a sweet cream cheese and sprinkled with cooked garlic. Now I know you're thinking, garlic? Yes garlic, but it was sweet and tender and not at all like garlic. The Hodduck croffle was a croissant stuffed with cinnamon sugar and nuts and then crisped up in a waffle iron. It was amazing. Now the surprise add on item, what I lovingly call the "bag of bits", was I'm guessing pieces of the croffle that were trimmed off or didn't fit fully or just cut up croffle and put into a bag. These were fantastic little bite sized bits that are totally addicting and if not already, should definitely be on the menu. My suggestion, RUN, don't walk, to try this...
Read moreThis bakery and coffee shop is a true gem! I've been here a few times now, and I'm always impressed by the quality of the food and the cozy atmosphere. The desserts are absolutely incredible - they're all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are unique and creative. I've tried the velvet cookie, the chocolate-covered pretzels, and the macaroons, and they were all amazing. The coffee is also excellent, and they have a great selection of teas as well. The shop itself is small but charming, with plenty of seating inside. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious treat. I highly recommend this bakery and coffee shop to anyone looking for a special treat or a cozy place...
