Cottage Inn Pizza Novi — Restaurant in Novi

This will be the last time we order from Cottage Inn Novi. What started as a simple mistake, turned into a nightmare. I ordered a 4 topping pizza and breadsticks. I picked up my order around 9:15pm. When I got home, I opened my pizza to find it was a half cheese, half pepperoni pizza. Not what I ordered. I called to ask for a new pizza. The girl on the phone was extremely rude. She said, "I guess I can make you a new one". Then proceeded to tell me it would be another 30 minutes. When I asked why my order wasn't correct the first time, she explained she was the only person working and that I needed to just understand they were "busy". It was a Tuesday. I told her I would drive BACK up there and wait for my pizza. I had already paid 30$ for a large pizza and breadsticks, I'm committed at this point. When I walked in for the second time (With the incorrect pizza in my hand), I noticed that was she NOT the only one working, but was working without any gloves while handling uncooked food. Both employees ignored me for 10 or so minutes before even acknowledging I was there. I waited another 20 minutes until the rude employee walked back up to the counter and threw my pizza next to the register, looked at me, and said, "It's correct now". NO APOLOGY. They never owned up to the mistake, never said "We are sorry, we'll fix it". Nothing. This is by far the worst way to treat customers, especially when such a simple mistake could have been easily remedied by offering an apology and We'll fix it for you. Instead, I was treated rudely and unfairly. They could offer me free pizza for a year and I wouldn't return to this place. Oh, I forgot the best part, see the picture for the abysmal second...

So, the pizza is pretty good, but there are a million places to choose from in the same area. The staff is usually pretty friendly and I really want to order from them. The problem is that the last 4 times I have attempted to order, their online system has been down and they don't honor their online deals. The first two times time there was a problem and the system wouldn't let me complete the order or pay. I had to cancel both times and call after I spent time going through the orders online. The third time, the online system took my money and told me the order was placed, but when I went to pick it up, they didn't have a record of the order. Today, I went online to try yet again. Our favorite place for feta bread closed and Cottage Inn is the only place left who has it, so against all odds, we gave it another shot. No surprise to find that when I clicked on the deals to order, it let me go through the motions of ordering the deal that we wanted, but the cart would not reflect the deal price. I called the location to order by phone and the young lady told me that the people who handle the website were supposed to have the glitches fixed after the New Year. I said o.k. and proceeded to order the special that was online. She told me that they don't honor that special anymore. I will not be wasting my time with this location anymore. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the feta bread is good and they have a lot of good options for specialty...

My girlfriend and I both love Cottage Inn pizza, it’s easily our favorite chain pizza spot. We ordered a large pep and innstix at 5:20pm for an arrival time of 6:30pm for the start of a sporting event as we are sick of cooking this week. Our pizza arrived at 5:40pm, 50 minutes early and neither the innstix or pizza were even warm and it was the WRONG pizza anyways. Both items had to have been pre cooked for the day and sitting out waiting to be ordered by someone and we happened to be the lucky buyers. On top of that, we’ve both been feeling under the weather the past few days and asked in the “special instructions” section if they could leave it at the door and honk when they left. Instead, the driver called the number given and asked for me to come out to him so he could hand it to me. Very, very disappointed and won’t be ordering from this Cottage Inn again.
