Loue's Place Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Nutley

Beware of loose place in nutley the pizzeria on high Street in Bloomfield avenue he adds 20% gratuity on to every Bill and does not give it to the waitress I have been going there for many years leaving 10:15 $20 depending on the bill amount in the jar on the counter and also being charged 20% every time I made him aware of this and he said he has the right to do this he does not have the right to do this what if I didn't want to leave 20% of the waitress that at the night that she served me she wasn't worth 5% of the bill anyway I brought this to lose his attention and he told me he wanted to give me an $8 refund not acceptable I've been eating there for years my family goes there for many years I can just imagine how they really screw the bills up for the delivery people the girl behind the counter when I brought it to her attention literally laughed in my face I known her for many years I know her father for many years I recommend no one go there I've lived in nutley for55 years and I've never ever had a problem with any of the restaurants in nutley he tells me I don't eat out enough that all restaurants do that that is not true also check the menu before you order none of the prices are the same as that are on the bill he has a little thing written on the front of the menu that the prices may be increased every price is different inside the menu that what they charge you check your bills they've been doing this for years and it's time someone has to do something about it. There are so many places in our area to order pizza. Choices are unlimited. So when we had family over on Friday one suggested Lou’s in Nutley. I said we haven’t ordered from there in a while so I said sure. We order 4 pizza’s, 2 rice balls, and a sandwich for delivery. Well the food arrives and there is a problem at the start. They forgot to bring 1 mushroom pie. Nervous this was not going to turn out well with a house full of people, was quickly forgotten. I called and let them know 1 pizza was forgotten, I ordered from the Slice app so it was a glitch. They said they would get on it right away and have it delivered to us. Meanwhile everyone started eating the pies that arrived. 12 people all agreed. The pies from Lou’s were excellent! Margarita pie with sausage and hot peppers was amazing. The Sicilian pie everyone agreed one of the best they have ever had. Light and crispy, cooked all the way through. Then to the rice ball. FYI: 1 order is 1 huge rice ball. We ordered with vodka sauce. These were delicious & Moist ! So important when having a rice ball. Dry rice balls are so common. These were not your common rice ball. The mushroom pie arrived shortly after, so now everyone was happy and enjoying ! Lou’s Pizza in Nutley, NJ is Highly recommended by this...

Sorry to say but it's nothing special. Pizza was okay...the dough/crust isn't great but sauce & cheese were good. Needed the addition of oregano, salt & garlic tho since the sauce isn't very seasoned (I never have a problem adding it myself since it's always better for a restaurant to under season than to over season) I will say that we were the only customers in there (we went in after the Memorial day parade in Nutley) & decided to eat our pizza there wish we hadn't because they are not friendly, they aren't "rude" but they definitely are not a smiling happy crew. Even the guy we think runs/owns it & the other kitchen staff don't talk at all so it's just uncomfortable silence as you sit there with no music playing & the tv is on mute. Very odd especially since every other pizzaria in town is full of yelling & banter & laughing & everyone is talking to you & each other. This was like trying to eat pizza in church but even that would be livelier....just weird....maybe no one wanted to work on the holiday? Or we walked in on an...
