I’ve shared my love for Chris and Angie’s before, but this gem absolutely deserves another shout-out! I’ve dined here several times, and each visit has been a delightful experience. The food is consistently outstanding, and the warm, welcoming service makes you feel right at home—it’s like eating at your favorite relative’s house, only better.

Today, I decided to try the turkey cranberry sandwich from the specials menu, and wow—I was blown away. I went in with modest expectations, but what I got was pure flavor perfection. The turkey was tender, the cranberry mayo (I think it was cranberry mixed with mayo?) was an absolute game-changer—tangy, sweet, and creamy all at once. The sandwich was warm with just the right amount of toastiness, and every bite was fresh, balanced, and bursting with flavor.

One of the things I love most about Chris and Angie’s is the creativity and care they put into their menu. I’ve made it a mission to try something new every time, and I’ve never been disappointed. Every dish is a testament to their dedication to quality and consistency, which is so rare these days.

As a frequent business traveler I eat at restaurants nearly every night. Thus...I feel I am a good judge when it comes to quality of food.

Chris and Angie's Dinette is a fairly new restaurant in Nutley. Over the past several months I have had the opportunity to both dine inside as well as utilize take-out. Every meal I have ordered has been exceptional. Quality and Freshness, The Cooking (taste) and Presentation is outstanding. The meals I have enjoyed have ranged from breakfast to dinner. Two of my favorites are Smoked Salmon Benedict and Chicken / Shrimp Kabob (over rice).

In addition to the above, service and customer attentiveness is top notch. Interactions with the servers are always friendly and accommodating. The restaurant owner (Kat) is nice and truly appreciates her patrons.

My husband, son, and I went here for breakfast on a weekday. We wanted to celebrate our son's first birthday by taking him out for breakfast. We decided to take him to this local spot since I'm all about the mom's and pop's restaurants. I haven't been here since this location had a different owner and different name and I was curious to see how this place changed. We walked in and were greeted by the owner's mother, Angie (the restaurant is named after her!). She let us pick our seats. We were promptly greeted by our waitress Denise. She is such a sweetheart! She actually remembered me when I used to frequent this place with the old owner/restaurant! We let her know that it was our son's first birthday, so she wanted to make sure he got the best meal and treatment. Denise and Angie brought out his pancakes with a candle and sang happy birthday to him. They were very happy that we chose their restaurant to celebrate. My husband and I had omelettes and some pancakes. The food was delicious! We can't wait to go back for lunch and dinner! They really care about their customers by treating them well and serving up...
