So me and my girlfriend love Mexican food. My favorite spot is El Rincon, hers is Las Trancas. I wanted Mexican but didn't want to travel too far as I just got off work and very tired. So I suggested Taquria lulu because it's a 5 minute drive. We've had unsatisfactory service in the past but I was willing to over look. I ordered chimichanga meal (1 chicken 1 chorizo). My lovely girlfriend ordered chicken fajita, no tomato, with corn tortilla. We received our order. My girlfriend plate was steak not chicken. Mind you, my girlfriend is allergic to every thing under the sun, beef being one. She told the waitress immediately, she did not order steak, but chicken. It was replaced later with chicken. As she's eating she noticed a piece of steak on her plate. Which we pondered that they just removed the steak and replaced it with chicken instead of just making the dish over. One of my chimichanga (the one with chorizo) meat was unusually dark. Chorizo meat is usually a reddish tint. This looked just like ground beef. I told the waitress I recieved ground beef. IT'S OK but I don't want an up charge for something I didnt receive. The cook/manager approached me and said "We get complaints that our chorizo causes heartburn so we mix it with ground beef to prevent that. We make our food from scratch so you get flavor for your money." NO! If I order chorizo, I want chorizo, not a mix of beef. Doing this is a clear short cut. So the Manger cook acknowledge his mess up and covered our bill while leaving a sarcastic remark of" Well, I've already wasted 2 fajitas, have a good night. Please don't hey sick. " Trash! Do not eat at this restaurant. Please go to Las Trancas, El Rey or El Rincon. All are better Mexican cuisines than Taquria DOO DOO. If you made it this long, thanks for...
Read moreThis has to be one of the worse experiences in my life. My man and I went to eat some food tonight. I ordered a chicken fajita. When the food came out, it was steak. I am allergic to beef and the waitstaff took it back to the kitchen immediately. By the time my food came back out, my man had finished eating. As I began eating, I noticed steak mixed in with the chicken. I immediately told staff and they said they would inform the manager. Our check was brought out and the fajita was still on it. I asked that it was taken off since it was incorrect the first time and the second time it was closer but a mistake was still made. The manager came out and spoke to us and I explained the situation. He then stated that he would take care of the bill for us. I told him that I wanted to pay for the food that we ate and he stated that it was fine. He then proceeded to tell us he was having such a good day today and he was going to just pay the bill in a very sarcastic tone. I asked one more time if he was sure it was alright and that we really could pay for what we ate. The manager said no and that he hoped I didn’t get sick, and I responded with “i hope I don’t get sick either” The next words from his mouth really got to me. I couldn’t believe how unprofessional and rude this man was. His response was “we already wasted enough fajitas today”. He says this right to us as he’s about to walk away. It was not my fault that my order was completely wrong the first time and then after sending it back, it still managed to be messed up. I won’t lie, the flavor of the food was fine, the only issue I had is that I have an allergy to beef and there was steak in my food. Very highly unprofessional business owner...
Read moreI really love this place but lately we've had such poorly prepared food I think I'll go elsewhere next time we want Mexican. Whoever you hired to run your kitchen is lazy. Our last meal we ordered bean dip to start the kitchen sent out a bowl of cheese with a scoop of beans in it, more cheese then beans and not mixed, my wife's California burritos fell apart while trying to eat it because your staff didn't cook the tortilla like it normally comes, my enchiladas were meat rolled in a dry tortillas and sauced spooned over it.. Half the tortillas were bare and not sauced.. I mean come on, I'm white and when I make enchiladas even I soak my tortillas in sauce before rolling them up.. If you were slammed I would understand but we were 1 of 3 tables in there, our food came out in 6 minutes, next time take the extra minute to prepare the food better. Also it's disappointing you have no real cheese in any of your dishes, just processed white nacho cheese on everything.. You guys used to be amazing, we'll give you a try after a few months of eating Mexican food elsewhere, but if it's the same food prepared with no love or care for your customers it will be our last. Great margaritas though, 3 stars is an honest review for what's now coming out of...
