We've been here several times already. This is one of the few legitimate delicious Mexican Food restaurants on the island that has successfully catered to the pallet of the island but still tastes like Homemade Mexican Food.
The ambiance is nice. Our youngest enjoys seeing how vibrantly decorated the place is and he enjoys every piece of art on the walls and the hanging paper banners on the ceiling of the outdoor section. They have a QR code for a complete menu of their goods. I think it's an extensive menu. Most items have the option for meat are: shredded chicken, shredded beef or ground beef. There are still steak options. There are seafood options. But one thing I didn't find is the option for black beans. They only serve refried beans. Their refried beans are seasoned well and really delicious. Everything we tried was well seasoned and really delicious.
Service here has been pretty good. We've only had one time where they forgot something we ordered and it was really slow but during their busiest hours we've had amazing service. Drinks come out quickly. Food comes out quickly--which is a welcomed pleasant surprise considering how long service usually takes for sit down dinner on the island. This place is A Must Try if you've never been. I highly recommend...
Read moreFor a few years now, I have been coming here because the food is really good- quite possibly the best Mexican I've had here on the island, as someone who's from Southern California. However, after my recent past visits, I won't be back until a new round of servers are hired. Absolutely none of the girls there are friendly. If you are a picky eater and so happen to ask for no garnish, they give you an attitude. If you just want all rice and no beans, you almost always will still get beans and you have to return it. Every time I've called ahead, I know to check in the car for accuracy before I drive away. If you got the wrong order and you send it back and ask politely for what you ordered, they don't show acknowledgement or consideration and say a simple "Sorry, I'll get that fixed." I've had my plate just taken away without any words said. When my food returned that time, it was like she was mad at me and placed the plate down and walked away with nothing to say lol. The only time I've been shown a tiny bit of kindness was from the owner (I'm assuming) which is a guy who came to me from the kitchen with the correct order, after remaking my food very quick. He apologized and thanked me. Yummy tasting food is NOT worth the attitude and nasty facial expressions....
Read moreTo begin I would like to say that there is ample parking in the plaza. As for the restaurant upon entering the atmosphere was pretty nice and very appealing. The service was terrible. We asked the free waiter that there were two of us, he literally pointed at the table and said “sit there” as he walked away. We sat at the table and the waitress came over took our order. The food was very mediocre. The queso had a very fake consistency. I order the fajita burrito and there was very little meat and it was mostly filled with onion ,bell peppers and beans. Not too much flavor going on there. When we asked for the check they forgot to bring it out, asked for it again and they finally brought it out. We paid our bill and waited for our card back. The waitress came back out with out our card and continue to go to other tables . We asked about our card she said she wouldn’t bring it out, eventually another waitress we never saw brought out our card because we had asked for it twice already. The experience over all would have been easily dismissed had the food been good. If you think this is authentic tasting, you need to leave the island. The food was terrible. Lastly I did notice the a la Cartes tacos are $6 dollars a piece. I have never seen street style tacos...
