This restaurant is located next door to kilani bakery. It has a few designated parking stalls in the front. The restaurant is on the smaller size- very cozy. We were greeted when we entered. It wasn't very busy at the time so we were able to get seats right away. We went on a Saturday morning, so they had breakfast all day (always a plus!).

Food: Chips & salsa - The chips are thick and crunchy, most likely fried in-house. The salsa was tasty and had a small kick. 4/5

Chilaquiles - Came with the yummy corn tortilla chips covered in the red sauce, eggs, and pork, and a side of beans and rice. 3/5

Mexi-loco moco - A mexican twist on a local favorite, pork instead of the burger patty with crema (?) and pico instead of gravy. The pork was nice and soft with lots of flavor, and the eggs were still jamy. 4/5

Fish tacos - I don't know what type of fish was used but it was yummy. The fish with the fresh veggies and pico was a really refreshing combo. When you add their habanero salsa (not very spicy but yummy) to it, it's so good! 4.5/5

Churro french toast - I am biased saying this because this is my favorite thing to order from this restaurant when they were on doordash, but this is so good! The french bread gets this great consistency of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it kinda reminds me of a malasada. Anyway, when you combine the malasada-likeness with the cinnamon sugar and caramel sauce, it's chef's...

I recently had the pleasure of having Barrio Cafe cater my wedding and bridal shower, and I cannot express how impressed I am with their service! From start to finish, Miriam and her team exceeded all expectations.

At the bridal shower we enjoyed charcuterie style boxes and mini sandwiches and they were delicious and beautifully displayed! Pick up was easy and everything held up well on our trip to the other side of the island. I have included the photos I took of the food at the shower!

For the wedding we opted for full service including hand-passed appetizers and wait staff, and the professionalism of the team was incredible. Each staff member was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our guests were well taken care of. The presentation of the food was perfect; it was clear that a lot of thought and care went into every detail.

Even when the weather turned and it started to rain, Barrio Cafe delivered wonderful food without missing a beat. The quality and flavor of the dishes were exceptional, and our guests couldn't stop raving about them!

I wholeheartedly recommend Barrio Cafe for any event. Their commitment to excellence and personal touches made our celebration even...

Barrio Café in Wahiawa was an excellent experience. I especially loved the vegan tofu tacos—they were fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The side of potatoes was also outstanding, perfectly crispy and seasoned just right, making them irresistibly tasty. My son thoroughly enjoyed the crazy fries, which disappeared quickly from his plate.

The atmosphere at Barrio Café is relaxed, inviting, and genuinely comfortable. Miriam, the owner, is wonderful—warm, engaging, and passionate about her business. She spent time chatting with me about the café and introduced me to a delicious fermented beverage that's similar to kombucha but uniquely different, and incredibly good. I even took home a bottle because it was so impressive.

She also generously gifted me a bottle of her homemade syrup, a sweet, smoky, and spicy creation that has become a standout ingredient at home—especially fantastic in margaritas and on waffles. Barrio Café truly delivers an exceptional mix of delicious food, friendly vibes, and genuine hospitality.

I’ll definitely be telling all my friends about this place, and I'm looking forward to seeing Miriam’s amazing products on store...

In the mood for creative and tasty Mexican breakfast and/or lunch in Wahiawā? Look no further than Barrio Café whose chef has gleaned her cooking experiences from Ceviche House and El Palenque. Barrio Café’s ALL-DAY Breakfast and lunch menu will certainly have something delicious for your palate. They’re open Mon - Sat from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. So plan accordingly. The chef serves traditional Mexican dishes with a local flair that adds to the flavors and even makes her own hot sauce (squeeze bottle at each table). If you need something to cool you off, there are ONLY non-alcoholic beverages served here such as horchata, various flavored agua fresca, fruit juices, coffee and soft drinks. There is a local breakfast special called “Leileihua Band Burrito” which features SPAM, eggs, beans & cheese all rolled into a humongous burrito. 10% of its cost goes back to support the Leileihua High School Band. We haven’t tried it yet but, if you like all of those ingredients, Barrio Café has you covered.
