Extremely rude people( the other patrons) , the servers were great. It was the other patrons there for dancing & music. I was assigned a table where ( after getting my food, which was warm NOT hot) I was told 3 empty chairs were taken, and then asked about another empty chair.. “ taken” I was then asked “ is your name on the list” and yes it was there! I have never felt more uncomfortable and unwelcome then tonight. I stood and ate until one of the other people at my decided I could sit and eat my food. I was visibly upset and have been going through a very difficult situation. A few people tried to patronize me but I didn’t feel welcomed I felt judged. I am white , and I was obviously NOT WELCOME! Thus by far has been my worst experience on Oahu. I am helping family through a personal tragedy and I had a few hours to just sit and enjoy the oldies… but was singled out and definitely made to feel like I didn’t belong. Rude people, the Band was great but next time it should be a closed event because anyone different then the crowd will not be welcomed! Just be KIND, you NEVER KNOW what someone else is going through! Tears stream down my face! No Aloha spirit...
Read moreMango Street Grill just opened a few days ago. We saw the signs from the road and were intrigued by the pupus and bar located in the old Dots location. Not too sweet and not too spicy with really good flavor. The spring rolls were light and crispy. The Gau gee was tasty and the shiitake cream sauce was packed with flavor. The homemade vanilla cheesecake was perfectly dense and the pineapple compote was a great compliment. The live music was beautiful, relaxing and the perfect volume. The staff is friendly and attentive. Looking forward to coming back and seeing how this...
Read moreWe were looking for something new the other night and decided to try Mango Street Grill based on the reviews, and it did not disappoint! Everything that we had was great, was cooked well and the way it was requested, and was full of flavor.
If you go and they have their Cream of Asparagus soup - GET IT. I had no idea what it was, but it was absolutely delicious. Super creamy and smooth, but so full of flavor. So much so that we got another big container of it to take home.
The service was great and every one was really friendly and super great with our toddler as well. The man playing guitar and singing the night we were there had a really lovely voice. It was a really enjoyable evening, and we're definitely glad we...
