Update: I returned to this location with my husband during his visit. He ordered an omelette and I ordered a *rare* ribeye steak and eggs. They weren’t that busy though they did have a party that kept adding more people(6 were seated when we arrived, 2 were waiting to see if they could move a table to sit with the party, and 2 more ended up showing up while we waited). We placed our order and waited, figuring it would take a bit because of the other party. My husband’s order came out within 15 minutes(not bad of a wait) but we noticed that not all in the other party had received their food and knew we’d be in the same boat. Sure enough, I waited 15 more minutes before stopping the waitress passing by and cancelling my order. She sent another waitress out to apologize to me and explain that the kitchen was short staffed and that she could get started on my steak if I wanted to wait. I declined and she brought out the check. She did give us a small discount on the food we received. My husband was waiting for my food to arrive to eat so his food was cold by the time they packed it in a to go box for us to leave. I’m so conflicted on whether I’d recommend this place again. The food has been delicious and service was good the previous 2 times I’ve eaten here alone. I just do NOT understand the reasoning behind bringing 1 order out 15 minutes before even starting another that’s sitting at the SAME table and in the SAME party. Very disappointed. Original review(4 stars): The food was flavored very well. The price was a little high but not absurdly so. I really love that they serve all day breakfast and all day lunch. I wanted lobster at 9 in the morning. Haha. It took a while to get my food(about 30 minutes after ordering) but they were constantly there to make sure I didn’t need anything while I waited. The only problem I had were the flies that were buzzing while I ate. It wasn’t constant but it was enough to be bothersome. Especially since I didn’t want them landing on my food. I still think everything was worth warring with flies. Lol. Can’t wait to bring my husband here. I wish I’d gotten a better photo of the prime rib but once I tasted the lobster, I didn’t stop eating until I was full. It was a pretty hefty piece that was under the lobster. The sautéed veggies was also a good choice. The 2 sauces that came with the plate complimented both the prime rib and the lobster. I’m very happy that I got lunch for breakfast from here. I’m hungry all over again. Haha.

Hammahhh spot. Hands down best food we had in a while at a restaurant. When we first saw the menu we thought was kinda pricey, but when the food came between the big portion size and the ono flavors we was happy we made the journey from Nanakuli to Wahiawa for kaukau here. Place was clean and not too busy. Supah quick service. And talk about customer service...they really showed the Aloha spirit upon entering, through out our dining, and on our way out. The sistah that took care us was amazing. The epitome of what you hope for when you dine out in Hawaii. She was patient, knowledgeable about the food, talked story, and checked on us through out our visit. My baby ordered 2 scoop side rice $2.50 and 2 piece bacon $6.00, look pricey, but the bacon was thick and long like thin cut pork belly. My husband ordered the Fitness omelette with hash brown$13.00 (picture included). I had the Seared cajun Ahi with mash potatoes and gravy and tossed salad $15.00 (picture included). Since my husband wanted some ahi, they cooked half well done for me and half seared for him. We loved the food so much we ordered three Crab cake Benedict with sweet potato fries $14.00 to go, and they never started making um till we was pau eating and was ready before we was heading out the door.

First time dining inside Guieb Cafe and we absolutely loved our experience! The restaurant was clean and the food was hot, fresh and flavorful! The Ube waffle was out of this world delicious!! Warm and soft on the inside and a little crispy on the outside. The ube syrup was so unique: perfectly sweet and paired incredibly well with the waffle-you’ve got to try it for yourself! :) The Kalihifornia burger I had is now my favorite burger on the island!!! Wow! The wagyu beef was seasoned and cooked perfectly, veggies were fresh and the bun was soft and savory. I had mine served with sweet potatoes fries (hot and scrumptious) but they also have waffle fries as an option which sounded tasty as well. I plan to try those next time. Another highlight I have to mention: how the servers and staff were all so attentive, friendly and kind. I believe one of the chefs came out to personally deliver the burger to our table. He was very nice as well. We felt welcomed and at home at Guieb and highly recommend if you’re in Wahiawa/North Shore area! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Easy five star rating for the very reasonably priced food ($10-$20) for exceptional service and quality!

The Angry Bird dish is EVIL GENIUS-LEVEL. Kimchi and a creamy gochujang sauce with garlicky fried chicken and perfectly crispy skin. If you like crispy chicken skin, this is your happy place. Get the gochujang sauce on the side so you (or your kids) can enjoy bites of the garlicky, crunchy chicken on its own before making the chicken even better with a flavorful hit of spice. You get 3 huge chicken thighs and will want a 4th one, trust me.

Surprising protein options. New York strip steak is a decent choice--juicy and very pretty. The prime rib was tasty but could've been much more tender. The mashed potatoes with gravy were comforting, and the side salad was fresh and well-dressed.

Unique to this small local chain (also in Kalihi and Aiea) is the ability to upgrade your sides to some special choices. Where else can you upgrade a basic side of white rice to ADOBO fried rice, garlic fried rice, or IMITATION CRAB SALAD? Fair warning that the imitation crab salad will come with a sprinkling of furikake, so ask for it without if you're not a fan of the seasoning.

Also unique is that a small, perfect dendrobium orchid might be a surprise bonus garnish on your plate. You could bring 50 friends (or order 50 plates) and make a lei--call it "The Aloha Bonus." 😍🌺

Don't let the slightly scary sidewalk right outside deter you (inside is different). Very open seating, nothing fancy. Well-spaced tables in a casual, family-friendly restaurant. Clean floors when we went. Food and plates were sanitary and temp correct.

Room enough to bring your stroller inside or a wheelchair. Today, two screens were showing sports and some family-friendly music videos.

Bathroom on site.

Free, if sometimes crowded, on-street parking in front of the shop. Make sure you're coming down California Avenue towards Kam Highway to park easily and drive away easily.

Tap to pay accepted. Credit cards accepted.

Call-ahead and take-out are available.

Ask for military and senior citizen discounts; ID required.

Very sweet customer service, young local people working hard.

Prices are very reasonable. You'd easily pay double if you were in Waikīkī Beach or closer...

Guieb is the go to place if you want a nice casual brunch. They have a wide variety of dishes on the menu, mostly filipino and local dishes. All of their pancakes are to die for and all of the filipino dishes that I've tried, like the longanisa, egg, and potatoes breakfast is really tasty, and usually everything is cooked perfectly. The only time I haven't enjoyed the food is when I ordered the prime rib. No matter how many times I have given the prime rib a chance, it comes out salty everytime. Like unedibly salty. Other than that, the food is good and I plan on visiting more to get a taste of the whole menu. Besides the food, the service is alright. There are a few servers that I've gotten that have been really good and I always tip them well. The hospitality is always a hit or miss depending on what server you get. I've had this one server a few times where she never checks up on us unless it's to give us the check, and the one thing that she does that is so annoying, is give me the check before asking If I want to order more. Besides that, the service is not bad and the food is comforting and Ono everytime. And just a little warning, the parking sucks and is hard to find, however I can typically find street parking near by and walk to the restaurant. ...
