Overall would give this a 3.5 based on the service. My food was amazing (had the Famous Hannara Omelet) but not a fan of the mini hash brown side. I am still amazed at how many places skimp on one of the most cheap and common veggies known to man when they have an exceptional margin even without skimping, but I don't take it personal- just perplexed. Daughter had a waffle, egg and potatoes (the waffle was nothing special (not crisp or any special mix) but good). Once the food is served they pretty much just leave you alone, which is not really exceptional service if you're thirsty. Also, the way they did the check was different than your average restaurant (they don't drop it off at table, you walk up to register and they use their memory to remember which customer you were- which showed they were quite intelligent to remember, but I could see how that could create a problem as well as how it also creates a bottleneck at the register to pay, while they sift through the tickets; I'm not grading them on their method however). They only have Tabasco here so if you like to add real spice you won't get that here for breakfast. They also do not have Unsweetened Tea (also surprised by this since it costs less than or equal to $0.05/gal and the margin is around $11.95 profit/gal). I know this review is more critical than many others but I just see them as opportunity to improve service as this side of the island may begin to see more tourism in the near future.

This is like my 3rd Hawaiian plate on this island and I guess I'm not a Hawaiian plate person. I got the Hawaiian plate with poke. The lau lau is lightly seasoned just like all the other places I been too. There was some meat but a ball of veggie at the end. So the best lau lau I ever had was at jules in kapolei. The kalua pig was good as well as the beef stew. The salsa salmon side taste the same as all the other places. And mine came with a small thing of poke I want so say a small ounce and a bite size coconut jelly dessert. Most expensive plate lunch I ever had just at $19. I'll stick with Korean plates next time

The place was... “ok”. Food was passable, but not great. The orange juice tasted odd, and my companion said the same thing. The price was reasonable. The service however was lacking. The waitress seemed very disinterested, calling from the wait station to ask what drinks we wanted, dropping the food off and walking away, without a single word The dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling (see image) was quite troublesome. We went to Countryside Cafe the day before, which was much better.

Hi I was having breakfast and when time to pay I didn't get a receipt how much the items were so when I asked she said they don't have that but someone over heard what I was asking for and she look kind of embarrassed as she didn't want to hassle with it so she got it but the receipt had only depart 10 and different departments on it so I was still not knowing what some of the prices were to what some I did and I asked for a refill and she said that's it I don't get no more refills and I only got a one time very small warm up and never once had one refill and the coffee was so so so dark I had to kind of use alot of cream to turn it to tope and so I gave in because it was mostly using to much clean so I took some blips but it was cold and any how the cream wasn't that cold though so I drank water I wanted to order a drink but she never came back to see if I need any thing so I didn't want to bother her or raise my hand so I was done acting and I told her earlier I'll be ordering take out for kids and so I ordered and I waited with my cold coffee that was pretty full it was full and well inwantwd a coffee after I eat so ya she say I can't have but someone else walked by I asked how may refills can u get as long as ur eating u get refill for coffee so another waitress got me the coffee so why am I'm feeling like unwanted just for asking for a recicept and a refill ? She made me fill lime I should get out of there I ate pretty fast too so I was just waiting for my take out and so I don't like feeling like I am not wanted somewhere or I'm bugging someone and so I'm just sitting here to drink my coffee real quick because they say I can't put it in a cup to take it with me it will cost more money so second time around coffee was so much better it wasn't as strong and I didn't need to use so much cream that time I have been coming here for 20 years and I just felt like I did something to but I knao I did t but I'm sad I only treat my self one in a while and it was a good day I love the people here and love there food and I just felt sad about what I explained and I spent about 40 bucks too so I ne that's all God bless you all today is still a beautiful day for he has rising and that's what I'm remembering whT my father did for all of us amen no hard feelings ...

I usually have a good experience here but lately the service went way down. I ordered a plate lunch for take out. I headed home with my order when i got home it was the wrong order so i went back to hannara's told them they gave me wrong order. They said i shoulda checked before i left. I agreed that i shoulda check but nobody usually checks when the lady gives me the plate lunch directly from kitchen and says heres your order. It gets worse. So while they took so long to point out how it was my fault the lady comes out of the kitchen and says heres your order. This time i checked however she tried giving me the original plate which had gotten completely cold. I asked about it and all she said was "thats your order". I asked for my money back and they refused. I left without my plate lunch or my money. So sad they treat...
