I am not leaving much reviews but, passed by the place in Kailua multiple times during the day and I was feeling to eat a steak so I drive all the way from town to Kailua give a try that new location. I have end up to wait more than 15 minutes just to order. Understandable pretty busy but after I try order I repeat it multiple times that I don't want to rise and I want a steak with vegetables to go. Took them forever to complete the order ( approximately 30+ min ) and after I see my plate I was absolutely disappointed was nothing close to a ribeye steak and it was overburn. Nothing close to the rare or medium rare. They give me just a little bit of green salad and a lots of rice no vegetables at all I was wailing to pay for it if it's a extra charge I told him that. The server give me the food make me feel like I'm a dog and this is your steak be happy. Trying to explain that about that it's not my order they said go back in the line and wait for it. We have customer waiting to order. The steak has absolutely no flavor not even salt on it or a black pepper nothing(I give it to my puppy there was no herbs on it but expensive dog food). It was over burn, lots of chewy stuff almost uneatable and I pay $36 for that plate. Please make sure that you don't go there on the busy time because it's a hit and miss you never know what you pay for. Absolutely totally disappointed. Sorry to giving one star but I cannot...
Read moreFood was good. I ordered a regular beef stew. I saw a couple of plates of katsu pass by and I felt it was piled. I would compare it to a cleaner/up scale L&L...that also has a few wagyu dishes.
The thing that got me today is how I felt rushed out. I still had several bites of rice, Mac salad and gravy, plus my soda. I'm leaning back digesting, getting full, but I'm gonna pack everything I paid for. Then dude comes up to me "how was your food?" I replied "good." He then asks "cash or charge?" I say "I'm not done" "oh sorry" and he leaves. I'm thinking "wow that felt rushed." I looked around, lady sitting at a table with a laptop (I assume is the owner) plus another single diner and a group of 4. Still has open tables, in fact an employee was taking their break at a booth! Sitting by themselves taking up a table normally for 4!
As soon as I finished my plate and drink; I swear I didn't even draw two breaths another worker comes to me with the bill. Again rushed out. Didn't exactly feel like it was packed either.
But I guess if they want me out the door so bad, I just won't ever come back in through the door again. I literally was debating L&L or OMG before I decided to eat here; left full but feeling like it was a mistake.
If you really want to eat there I recommend take out, at least then you don't feel pressured...

Happy with my food and experience at OMG. We ate in and ordered the mix plate (Hamburger steak, Teri beef, and beef curry) and the Teri beef Plate.
Taking off one star because the beef in the curry was dry and hard but everything else was good.
-Service was prompt and attentive
-Interior was clean with a well thought out design
-Ample seating
-Teri beef from both orders was well seasoned and tender.
Hamburger steak was tender and perfectly cooked. Gravy was just ok; didn't have that "homemade' taste to it but was fine.
-Disappointed with the beef curry. Curry sauce had good flavor and the carrots/potatoes were prepared fine but the beef chunks were dry and hard; perhaps precooked and left sitting out for a long time then reheated? or low quality meat? or both? I don't know but it was hard and dry. The mixed plate had a large amount of food so I was satiated enough that didn't need to eat the beef chunks; if I was hungrier or if the beef was more tender and moist I would have ate it. I won’t order this again and since I imagine the same beef would be in the beef stew I won’t try that either.
Glad I tried it but wouldn’t order the beef curry (or the beef stew for that matter) if I come back.
Best of luck to OMG in their...
