Cafe Kopi — Restaurant in Oʻahu

In my entire life, I have never been pursued out the door of a cafe upon leaving by a staff member just to remind me that I need to be vaccinated to sit in her outdoor back patio after being told that we could sit outside without a pass.

Upon initial entry into the cafe my friends were immediately greeted with an unpleasant confrontational attitude from the staff. Upon asking if they had a certain drink, we were told that they would not make it for us and were essentially steaming in a “Go away” atmosphere from the second we entered the building to order.

After getting our drinks and snacks, we sat in the back patio and ate. Upon finishing and walking out the front door to our car, a blonde barista moved from behind the counter, hurried out the door, and called to us as we were walking away. Just to tell us that we were not welcome to use their back patio in the future without a vaccine...

If I could rate this place a 0 I would. I worked here for maybe 12 hours & what I saw was absolutely disgusting. They had drinks for customers to consume on the bathroom floor, the bathroom floor was absolutely disgusting- it looked like it had never been cleaned. I never saw a single person wash their hands, they prep the food with no gloves, I watched the owners wife sling her hair everywhere & at one point her pony tail dipped in a pot of boiling eggs. for sure the worst restaurant I have ever worked at. The picture below is of the employee bathroom where the floor is disgusting & what is left behind is highly unsanitary. Do yourself a favor & don’t bother...

This place is GREAT!!!

It’s a tiny little coffee shop in Kailua that’s just opened a couple of months ago. They have great food with great prices. I got an egg and cheese croissant with a mocha Mac nut iced coffee. The croissant was delicious had lots of flavor and was made fresh.

The best part about this place are the vibes and the staff. I loved that they served all there food on colorful personal plates and had cool cups for there drinks. The staff (Jean) came outside to check on us and see how we enjoyed our meal. She was from Singapore and was super friendly about answering all our questions about Singapore.

I totally recommend...
